About me and my therapy practice

Counselling provides you  with the opportunity to explore whatever is going on for you, in a confidential, safe environment. This is a time in which your deepest concerns are heard with values of care, support and respect. As your counsellor,  I listen without preconceptions or judgement, to whatever you bring and offer space for self-reflection, resolving issues and self-development. I will not give you advice or tell you what to do but I will be with you to help you on your personal journey as you explore and make your own decisions. It

I use an integrative model, meaning that I combine a range of different approaches in order to support you in a way which works best for you.

After initial contact by phone, text or e mail we can look at your availability and arrange a session. I am happy to address any questions and concerns you may have about counselling.

In my experience over the last 20 years I have encountered men and women with with wide ranging presenting issues, which they are finding a hindrance to wellbeing in so many areas. As we talk through and uncover pain and wounds and identify patterns and coping strategies, their growing self awareness helps them to healthily make decisions for their futures and take control of their lives.

Practice description

I work from home in a dedicated garden counselling room which has easy access and is a quiet, confidential and pleasant environment.

The environment is well ventilated and spacious.

Working form home gives me the flexibility to, as far as possible,  arrange sessions around your work commitments and child care needs.

About me and my therapy practice

Everyone involved in people intensive work especially in such times as we now find ourselves, surrounded by uncertainty and fear, knows there are times when it is helpful to talk through the work they do and the types of issues it throws up for them. Working with people, although deeply rewarding, can be unwieldy and unrelenting. My role as your supervisor is to support you by helping unpack how things often difficult to talk about to colleagues and family are impacting your level of functioning. I can reassure you about your concerns or even be another set of eyes offering insights and growth areas that may help you.

I have experience working with health counsellors, health professionals, leaders in education and clergy.

If you have any series please feel free to contact me.

Practice description

I have 18 years of counselling experience, using an eclectic model, (including psychodynamic, person centred, REBT counselling. I also have 7 years of supervision experience with people from various people intensive professions.

My work is done from home from a dedicated counselling room on my property which provides a safe can confidential setting. Parking is easy and access involves a small step into the counselling room. Right now I'm offering Skype or FaceTime Counselling and Supervision to enable all of us to stay at home for the sake of minimising spread of the virus.

My first session

A first session would give us both the opportunity to tell me what it is you need from Supervision and ask me questions about the way I work in order to assess whether what I can offer in to way of support, will adequately support the work you are doing. It also gives us to get a feeling of whether the Supervisor/Supervisee relationship feels like a good fit.
