About me and my therapy practice
I have a BSc Hons in Integrative Counselling. I am a registered member of the BACP.
I offer Psychotherapy and Counselling, incorporating mindfulness, meditation and well being sessions.
In accordance with government guidelines I am currently offering video link.
When you are experiencing thoughts and feelings that you are not able to process alone, counselling can be a way of making sense of them and helping you to move forward with your life.
I have a genuine and warm character and real desire to help you. Whatever your issue, a long term problem, an immediate crisis or if you are just feeling stuck. I am able to offer you a calm space where you have the opportunity to explore what has prompted you to seek counselling.
I aim to help clients gain a healthy work/life balance and offer exam stress relief techniques to students. At the end of our sessions you will have a 'tool box' to take with you as you continue your journey through life.
I am experienced in working with both one to one and couples counselling. I will work with you in an Integrative/Holistic way. Drawing from different models of therapy allows me to tailor each session to your particular needs. Sessions can be long term/short term/time bonded.
I have worked with young people in an special educational setting for over 10 years and have volunteered with a charity that offered counselling to young people age between 14 - 25. I also have experience of working with young people who have emotional and behavioral difficulties. I have also volunteered with a cancer charity supporting both those with a diagnosis of cancer and their families.
Following government guidelines, I am currently seeing clients via a video link.
My experience is working with individual clients and couples. I support people in an integrative and holistic way. Incorporating Mindfulness and Meditation. I will work with you to help you to practice better self care.
I am experienced in working with CBT, Person Centered, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused, and Extensional modals of therapy.
My first session
In our first session together I will invite you to tell me what has brought you to therapy and why now. I will work with you to gain an insight into what has happened to you over time and how you can begin to reframe it and move forward.
We will look at how you want the therapy to work and whether you have anything in particular that you would like to address.
I believe that therapy is about the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. If you feel comfortable and able to talk to me about anything that is worrying you, then the process will be successful.
