About me and my therapy practice
Therapy is a time to think, process and decompress in a safe, supportive and understanding environment. It can benefit many; those who seek support in times of struggle, those who need help in processing their experiences, or for those who wish to further understand themselves; their thoughts, behaviour and relationships; past, present and future.
As a Child and Adult Psychotherapist I have extensive experience working with a variety of different issues and presentations in short and long term therapy. The length of the therapy depends on the individual, the reason they seek therapy and how ready they feel to commit to the time. I am analytical in my thinking and integrative in my approach. I adapt to the person as they are presented to me and adjust the work in the room depending on their needs to ensure the time offered is safe and effective.
I have worked with Children and Adolescents for a number of years both in the community and in schools. I see young people for a variety of reasons including developmental and emotional complexities. I often meet and work with parents to aid the support of the young person's therapy.
I work privately with Adults offering Counselling and Psychotherapy depending on what is sought and needed.
