About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering a patient, warm and respectful space to heal and grow.
Coming to a point where you’re seeking counselling can feel like a huge and often unimagined step. Perhaps you have never experienced feeling how you do now or perhaps you are managing long term feelings of anxiety and/depression. Maybe you would identify as having general low mood or maybe you have a specific current personal issue you really need support to process.
Relationships strain, work pressures, societal pressures can all weigh down on our self esteem and we can find ourselves without motivation, confused and feeling bad most days. The added layer of feelings of collective trauma from the covid 19 pandemic, alongside however circumstances may have affected you personally can add a significant layer of burden to deal with. Sometimes we need a help in hand to sift through the many complex thoughts and feelings which may be in conflict inside.
I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University and am registered with BACP. I also have a certificate in Counselling from the University of the West of England. Specialising in the person-centred approach, I work to provide a safe, caring space to talk about inner thoughts and feelings that are often so difficult to talk about, even with loved ones.
Training at a low cost counselling service offering short and longer term counselling for NHS and low cost clients, I have helped people from many different backgrounds with pronounced anxiety and depression to better understand their often overwhelming feelings and problems, and find their own solutions and healing.
