About me and my therapy practice
My Approach:
We will work together to gain a better understanding of the issues that brought you to therapy, be it depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, work-related challenges, concerns around sexuality or identity, a loss of meaning or direction – or perhaps a wish to understand yourself better.
Whether you have an idea of what you’d like to talk about, or may find it hard to define or put your feelings into words, I offer a safe and non-judgemental space where you can confidentially explore what’s going on.
Our aim would be to uncover new ways of thinking, to develop an insight into how your past experiences might have shaped the present you, what unconscious processes might be driving your behaviour, thoughts and emotions, and to open up possibilities for change.
I regard every individual as unique, and my approach will be tailored to suit your aims for therapy, and your particular situation.
Practice description
I work with individuals – young adults and adults, both in my role as a psychotherapist in the NHS, and privately.
I practise online, and in person, out of inviting and confidential consulting rooms in Harrow and Central London (King’s Cross and Fitzrovia.)
Trained at the University of Oxford, I am committed to continuous professional development. Psychodynamic thinking is at the core of my practice.
Prior to training as a therapist, I had a career spanning some two decades, in bespoke interiors sector.
I speak fluent Ukrainian and Russian; and have research interests in the impact of digital technology on the therapeutic process.
My first session
To arrange a consultation:
Send me an email and we will schedule a 15-20 minute telephone call, at no charge, and no obligation.
Should we proceed to booking an initial session, it would be for 50 minutes, charged at £85 (£60 concessions) to discuss your difficulties, your expectations for therapy, and to see whether we could work helpfully together.
