About me and my therapy practice
I'm Jacqueline, a fully qualified Integrative counsellor with a background in Psychology.
I specialise in Trauma and Women's Health, and I am particularly interested in how physical health and mental health are connected and can emerge from trauma and stress situations.
I have a vast experience in working with women who experienced domestic violence, toxic relationships, trauma & intergenerational trauma, cultural and Women's health issues.
The counselling sessions that I offer are inspired by my own healing journey and my educational background and work experience. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with multiple women from different backgrounds, both in person and online in the UK and internationally.

As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I believe that you are the expert of your own life and we will work together so that you can reach your full potential and develop self-acceptance.
Our work starts with an understanding of what is making you to be stuck in life and preventing you from achieving your goals and living with autonomy and with authenticity. So the therapeutic plan starts with looking into your emotional dependency, your current and past relationships, your environment and situations in your life that might have generated trauma. By understanding how your mind was shaped to deal with the situations, we then are able to understand how to use your inner resources and strengths to find resolution whilst navigating your healing journey.
My approach encompasses working with the inner child, reparenting, integrating the different parts of yourself so that you embrace your authentic self, understand your limits, emotions and how to relate to the environment and have a life with more awareness and autonomy.
I work with a range of integrative techniques such as talk therapy, therapeutic writing, guided meditation/visualisation, psycho-education, emotional freedom technique, body-mind exercises and breath-work - it will all depend on what you feel comfortable with.
I believe that the counsellor is key to provide a compassionate and safe space for the client to unpack their feelings and allow themselves to live a life more authentic and aligned to their Self.
My first session
Finding an ideal therapist can require a lot of research and talking. So, I offer a free introductory 15 minute call to explain how my service works and to answer any questions that you may have. This would give you the opportunity to decide if I am the counsellor that you would most like to work with. There's no commitment or cost at this stage.
