About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced BSc qualified integrative therapist MBACP with an MSc in Psychology.

I will lead you on a path of positive transformation and empowerment in order to restore your well-being and reclaim your sense of contentment and satisfaction with yourself and your life. We will investigate how your deeply held beliefs about yourself, the world, and others influence how you respond to people and events in therapy. We will explore your behavioural patterns and make connections between your emotions, behaviours, and thoughts to help you become more self-aware.

You will gain a better understanding of yourself, your personal goals, and your values, and you may be able to break free from old dysfunctional patterns to create new, healthier, and happier ways of being.

Practice description

In my practice, I use a variety of theoretical approaches, including the Psychodynamic method, Person-Centred Theory, Existential Approach, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). My philosophy is that each person's experience of the world is unique, and I strive to provide a client-tailored approach in an open, friendly, and non-judgmental manner.

My past experiences involve working in NHS - depression and anxiety, The Awareness Centre- open-ended counselling, The Listening Place- high-risk suicidal clients, Women’s Aid -clients who have experienced sexual abuse and childhood trauma.

My first session

If you are considering therapy but you are uncertain of the methods and results, I offer a free 20-minute enquiry call in order to speak about your presenting issues and any questions you may have concerning therapy.

When we start working together, our first session will be an initial consultation. I will deeply explore your current issues with you, enquire about your background and work to establish which type of therapy I think would be most suited to you.

I will assess your specific needs and we can set goals for treatment. I will also explain more extensively how I work and you will have the chance to ask questions to decide whether you would like to start therapy with me.

About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you're depressed or anxious; perhaps you are struggling with a loss; perhaps you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or maybe you just don't feel like you're living the life you were meant to live. Whatever your needs are, I am here to help you. Therapy is a process of self-discovery and growth that promotes transformation by exploring the past and encouraging a positive outlook as well as the adoption of new attitudes and responses.

Practice description

I believe that each person experiences the world in a unique way, and there is no "one size fits all" approach. It is my view that therapy is a co-creative process and that the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to any good therapeutic outcome. Counselling can provide reformative experience and a new "lens" for looking at the self, the world and others. My purpose is to help you uncover your hidden resources and untapped strengths, to gain clarity and perspective of what troubles you. I aim to empower you to deal with difficult emotions and experiences, and to find the solutions to improve your well-being. In my practice, I work integratively and use a variety of theoretical approaches, including the Psychodynamic approach, Person-Centred Therapy, Existential Approach, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)As a result, our therapeutic work becomes distinctly personal, tailored to you and your specific needs.

My first session

I offer free 20 mins initial Zoom or telephone call to discuss your needs.

If this is your first experience of therapy you may feel unsure about what to expect. At your initial consultation, you will have a chance to ask any questions you may have and I will ask about events in your life and help you determine how I might be able to help you achieve your goals in therapy.

Behavioural, Brief therapy, Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Solution focused brief therapy

About me and my therapy practice

Welcome. I am a degree qualified integrative counsellor, and a member of the British Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and British Psychological Society (BPS).

Areas I work with: I specialise in anxiety, depression and trauma, but also a variety of issues including attachment and relationship issues, physical and sexual abuse; stress and phobias; bereavement and multiple losses, moderate/severe difficulties with self-esteem; workplace bullying; cultural and spiritual issues, significant life-changing events such as divorce or redundancy; adjustment problems related to a health issue or identity crisis.

Training: As an integrative therapist, I have been trained in a number of theoretical approaches, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existential, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

My philosophy: I believe that each person's experience of the world is unique, and I am committed to providing the best care possible for each of my clients. As a result, I draw dynamically from different modalities, and each session is individually tailored to your specific needs.

My experience: I have worked in NHS and alongside a number of organisations including The Awareness Centre, The Listening Place, Women’s Aid with clients from diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds, including refugees and asylum seekers.

Background: My previous background in International Relations and my extensive travelling allowed me to appreciate people's cultural and individual differences and gain a perspective on culturally sensitive issues, which I embrace in my counselling practice.

Practice description

I usually see my clients once a week for 50 minutes. I am flexible and can accommodate my clients’ needs; depending on your schedule we may want to meet more or less frequently, or you may sometimes want to come for longer sessions.

The type, frequency and duration of your treatment will be discussed at the initial consultation and will be revisited in due course.

I also offer sessions via Zoom or telephone. This is something that we would also discuss during our initial consultation.

From our conversation I will help you to understand which type of treatment would suit you the most. You will leave the room with no uncertainty but with a clear idea of what you can expect from our work together
