About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes life can feel like it’s a challenge

Maybe you are anxious and worried about things. Maybe you are feeling low and you struggle to find any meaning in life. Maybe you just want the opportunity to take stock of your situation and look around to see where you are, how you got here and where you can go next. Or there may be a specific issue you want to discuss.

Talking to a therapist can help with all of these. I offer a safe, warm and welcoming space where you can talk over your concerns with a trained professional in a confidential manner. I can offer both open-ended sessions, where we don’t agree an end date; and time-limited sessions of a set number of weeks to discuss specific issues.

Practice description

I hold a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling from the Minster Centre, one of the UK’s leading training institutions. I describe my approach as integrative and relational, which means I use concepts and ideas from a wide range of therapeutic traditions to shine a light on my clients’ issues, with a particular emphasis on how people build up habitual patterns of relating throughout their life and how these play out during the therapy process.

Before I started my therapy career, my original training was in the sciences and I then worked for many years in the arts and creative industries, reflecting my interests in understanding, analysing, creativity and the imagination. I currently have a private psychotherapy practice in West London and work for a charity providing counselling and therapy as part of the NHS’s Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) service.

My first session

After contacting me, we can arrange an initial session of 50 minutes either online or on the phone. This is a chance for us to get to know each other and to help you to decide if I am the therapist for you. We can discuss your reasons for looking for therapy/counselling and answer any queries you may have.
