I am an experienced, senior accredited counsellor and supervisor. I have worked in various therapeutic settings including private practice, drug and alcohol intervention, charitable counselling services, and in management of a counselling service. I am on the register of Employee Assistance Programmes and some private health providers. I have a BA (Hons) in counselling therapy, a post-grad. Diploma in counselling supervision, a certificate in trauma informed counselling and in coaching skills.

We will talk about the challenges you face, explore the way you feel and how this affects you. How you can work towards a more fulfilling and happy life, healthy relationships, manage stress and anxiety better, recover from low mood and depression, work through grief, loss, abuse, addiction, or find relief from distressing emotions such as anger,  jealousy or panic. We can reflect on how your life experience, and traumas might have impacted on you, your coping strategies, and your way of perceiving yourself. This will help us to find ways to change yourself and how you live your life.

You may feel disappointed with the way life has worked out for you, feel hopeless or fearful of the future or may search for new meaning in life. Therapy can be a painful process, but as we engage in an open dialogue we can explore possibilities that will lead to a more fulfilling life, emotional well-being and increasingly satisfying relationships. 

Clients have reported a growth in self-confidence and self-awareness, relief from depression and anxiety, overcame obstacles preventing reduction of substance misuse, gained a clearer sense of self, found a way through complicated relationships, made sense of the pain of loss and bereavement and have recovered from past trauma.

Fees:

£40 for initial consultation (50 min)

£60 for subsequent sessions (60 min)

£60 for counselling supervision (1 hr)

The first appointment will be an assessment. An opportunity for you to meet with me in my place of work or online, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working with me in therapy will be a helpful way forward for you. 

It allows me to hear from you what you hope to work through, what your goals are and assess whether I will have the experience and professional expertise you are looking for. 

When you decide to continue, we will discuss a counselling agreement that explains confidentiality, data protection and more.

I have currently no availability to offer supervision to inquirers.

From 04.01.2024 until 31.12.2024

I am a qualified supervisor, providing supervisory support and guidance to qualified counsellors and student counsellors working in clinical practice. I aim to develop and maintain an effective supervisory relationship with you. I see my role as supporting you to practice effectively, provide space for enhancing your skills and reflecting on the dynamics of therapeutic work. Supervision helps to ensure good ethical practice, provides quality control, protects and safeguards the client and provides accountability.

I work with the cyclical and double matrix model of supervision which supplies a helpful framework in helping you maximize your competence and enhance the therapeutic value of the counselling process. Supervision will be supervisee-centered, where I offer warmth, respect and genuineness, which will provide the context for professional development and encourage reflective practice. I regularly receive supervision for supervising counsellors.

I have completed a post-graduate diploma in counselling supervision. I offer daytime or evening appointments. There is free parking and I am located a 3 min walk from the Underground station.
