About me and my therapy practice

I am an accredited integrative therapist offering a confidential and understanding service for adults, children and young people who are facing a range of challenges and emotional difficulties. My appointments are offered remotely via telephone or zoom.

There are many reasons why an individual seeks counselling, and I understand that it can feel like a big decision where you may feel nervous, uncertain or vulnerable.

My first step is to offer you a safe, non-judgemental space, where you will feel able to explore your own thoughts and feelings. This offers you space to understand the underlying feelings that can make you feel low, stuck, empty or overwhelmed. During our first interactions I will provide you with the information that you need to make an informed decision regarding your therapy, where we can work through the areas you would like to explore at a pace that you are comfortable with.

As an Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (Trauma & Developmental Injury) & Internal Family Systems Practitioner (Trauma & Addictive Processes), I seek to work with you to understand your experiences, how our body and the different 'parts' of our personality/self work to protect us from further distress, and offer space for any desired change.

Having supported people in the public and voluntary sectors for over ten years, with focus around working with those affected by domestic and/or sexual abuse. I have gained experience working with a variety of mental health challenges, abuse and other traumas, addiction, bereavement/loss, stress and relationships issues. Understanding the impact that these experiences can have upon a person’s life has helped me develop a caring and empathetic approach to my work.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy (via zoom) to suit the needs of the individual.
