About me and my therapy practice
Hello and a warm welcome.
Making the decision to see a counsellor is a big step, but it can be a positive one. My aim is to be alongside you and listen without judgment, whilst helping you explore any difficulties you maybe facing at a pace that suits you. Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed? Or maybe you are experiencing stress, anxiety or burnout because your work/life balance isn't what you'd like it to be be? Equally, you may want to work through some important life changes and evaluate your next steps.
Together we can explore whatever issues arise and it is my belief that therapy can help you make sense of your experiences and unburden you to feel less alone. I won't offer you advice, instead, I offer you a safe, calm and welcoming space for you to be able to focus on what's important to you and realise your own path forward.
I am truly passionate and committed to supporting my clients every step of the way of their counselling journey and from my own personal experience, I understand just how important it is to be heard and understood. I offer a genuine and empathic therapeutic relationship where confidentiality and respect are the cornerstones of my practice.
Practice description
I am an experienced, qualified Humanistic counsellor and therapist. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their ethical framework, which means that I place my client's best interests at the centre of my work.
I work in partnership with my clients and the number of sessions we have will depend upon your sense of progress and when you feel the time is right for us to complete our work. At regular intervals, I will check in that you're getting what you need from therapy and my aim is to create an accepting non judgmental space for you to be yourself.
I offer therapy in-person, by telephone and online to individuals and couples in a private and comfortable therapy room within a village setting. There is parking and it is within easy reach of Crawley and surrounding areas. Three Bridges station is approx 2 miles/8 minute drive away.
My BACP accredited integrative training allows me to draw upon theories from counselling and psychotherapy and tailor my approach unique to you. I also have experience of working with a diverse range of issues, and in addition to my private practice, I have worked at a local hospice. Here I provided support to relatives, carers and patients with life limiting illness, who are experiencing wellbeing difficulties, loss, grief and bereavement.
I have professional indemnity insurance and a current DBS check.
