Life isn't always easy or straightforward and carrying troubles around with us affects the way we feel both physically and emotionally. Working with a counsellor will offer you the opportunity to reflect on what is going on, process difficult feelings and harness inner resources to enable you to manage difficulties as they arise. 

The development of a safe and trusting relationship between you and your counsellor is the foundation for counselling. It is important to find a counsellor you feel able to work with. I offer a reduced price initial consultation in order to give you an opportunity to decide if working together feels right for you.

I work with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, domestic abuse, and past trauma including emotional and sexual abuse. I also work with people who experience physical illness but have been unable to find a medical reason for their symptoms. I recognise that each person who attends counselling has a unique set of circumstances and experiences and that nobody will fit neatly into any one category. I will work with you and whatever you bring with respect and without judgement.
