About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP accredited counsellor, offering feminist informed psychodynamic counselling for adult women in Bristol. My way of working is warm, kind and collaborative and rooted in female solidarity and trust.
Practice description
Counselling offers a unique opportunity to understand ourselves, to untangle inner conflicts and areas of distress in a way which can bring both solace and change. We will consider how your early life and relationships have shaped you, but we will also bear in mind the many ways in which being born female may have impacted your emotional life and present difficulties.
In addition to psychodynamic thinking, I also draw on related ideas and techniques such as inner child work, trauma treatment theory, mindfulness and feminist counselling principles.
My first session
I have a comfortable practice room in my home, in the heart of St Werburghs, Bristol. I charge £25 for an initial consultation, and £40 for sessions thereafter. All sessions are 50 minutes long. I am also able to offer sessions online.
Please get in touch if you wish to arrange an initial consultation.
