About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in working with people at midlife (40s - 60s) who may be struggling with expected, or unexpected, change. As a qualified Counsellor and Health Coach I can support you in exploring and resolving current difficulties, before helping you work toward your best level of mental and physical health.
Issues I commonly work with include stress, declining health and energy levels, menopause anxiety, poor sleep, relationship breakdown, empty nest, loss, ageing, retirement and lack of purpose.
Words clients use most to describe my approach are supportive and encouraging but I will also gently challenge you to question limiting beliefs and set goals that are achievable for you.
I am also a qualified Mindfulness teacher and support any clients who wish to, to incorporate a more mindful approach to life.
I am a member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and use their principles to cultivate natural health, wellness and a vibrant approach to life.
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment, either face to face or online, where you can be yourself and explore your thoughts and feelings in an open and accepting way.
Our work will be led by you, as only you can decide how you wish to live your life.
My first session
Following an initial, complimentary chat to see if we are a good match, our first session will be an opportunity to explore what is not currently working for you and what changes you would like to make. If you wish to address physical health or weight loss as part of our work together then I will ask you to complete a health profile before our first session.
We will also explore the benefits, and limitations, of Counselling and Health Coaching and what you can expect from the process. Together we will discuss what you would like to achieve and what that might involve for you.
