About me and my therapy practice
I am a therapist in full time practice, with over seven years post qualified experience working predominantly from central London. Based in the central London area, I am familiar with issues affecting workers in the financial, consultancy, and legal industries. Relationship problems, anxiety, depression, job stress, coping with change, and the desire to make sense of difficult feelings and experiences, are all issues which are considered in therapy.
Bringing personal concerns and difficulties to therapy can feel very daunting. An initial consultation is offered to explore your needs, hopes and desires for therapy. The consultation typically consists of the first 2 therapy sessions, and is an opportunity to gather a sense of what it is like to both work together in counselling. I am trained in both long and short-term work. I mostly see people for longer term therapy, and all my session arrangements are either once weekly, or twice weekly.
In terms of my professional qualifications, I hold a Master's Degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as a bachelor's degree in Social Work. I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I am also registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council as a psychodynamic counsellor. I continue with on-going professional development and maintain the ethical frameworks of the BACP and BPC.
The consulting room at 29 Lincoln Inn's Fields is a confidential and comfortable space. The location is equidistant between Holborn and Chancery Lane stations, and the room is also accessible from Temple, and City Thameslink stations.
For remote sessions, I request that you find a private and comfortable space for the meeting which will be conducted over Zoom or telephone. I provide you with all the necessary details to log into the meeting ahead of time.
