About me and my therapy practice
Life doesn't get any easier does it? Juggling work, relationships and family can be stressful and confusing, leaving us feeling emotionally drained. Sometimes the harder we work to please others, the tougher we are on ourselves. This can make us feel less than good enough.
Deeper feelings of anxiety, sadness and anger are painful and scary, so we become very good at burying them until they build up and overwhelm us. I know it can feel daunting to open up about things but you don’t have to worry, we can go at your pace. If you are experiencing feelings that are hard to manage, feeling overwhelmed by pressures at work or no longer feeling happy at home, I can help you.
I am a person centred counsellor, with particular experience working with anxiety, low self esteem and anger in both children and adults. I also specialise in bereavement support, helping my clients cope with life after loss, working closely with the Kent charity Holding on Letting Go.
I offer both long and short term therapy and have a flexible approach to the way I work. This means we can tailor our sessions to suit your specific needs and requirements.
When counselling my younger clients, I work in a number of Kent primary schools and from a fully equipped therapy space in Sittingbourne. Here, your child will have access to a range of creative resources which will help them to process and express their feelings.
I am currently offering sessions via zoom and telephone and a limited number of face to face sessions from my office in Sittingbourne.

My first session
After an initial assessment and during each of our sessions together, I will listen to you carefully to gain an understanding of the world from your perspective. You will have a safe space to reflect on the feelings you have about yourself and understand how these deep rooted opinions, along with your life experiences, have affected your self confidence and influenced the way you relate to others.
By unpicking these aspects of yourself, you can begin to heal what is painful and discard or reframe beliefs that have been holding you back!
