About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified and experienced Humanistic Counsellor trained in Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Person-Centred modalities. I work integratively to tailor these different approaches to your needs.
Humanistic therapy focuses on you as a 'whole'. It encourages you to think about your feelings and take responsibility for your thoughts and actions. The emphasis is on self-development, growth and achieving your highest potential.
I offer a safe, compassionate, and confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours without judgement. As we build a trusting and collaborative relationship, we can work together to make sense of what you’re thinking and feeling. I can offer insight, support, and strategies to help you move forward.
Individual Therapy
I can help you if you are experiencing issues that are causing you distress. Many of us will feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or ‘stuck’ and it takes courage to ask for help, but you don’t have to struggle to work things out on your own.
When you feel this way, finding someone to talk to is a sign of strength. Regardless of what has brought you to this point, it’s about where you go from here that matters.
Relationship/Couples Therapy
Healthy relationships are vital for our overall well-being, yet they can often be challenging to manage. It's natural for relationships to experience fluctuations, but sometimes these difficulties can become deeply rooted, leading us to fall into unhelpful patterns of behaviour. Discussing these issues can be difficult and emotionally intense, making it beneficial to have a trained, impartial therapist to help you communicate and understand each other better.

Training & Experience
My formal training was at the Metanoia Institute, Ealing and I have a BSc in Humanistic Counselling, and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have certificates in Couples/Relationship Counselling and Trauma-Focused Therapy.
As well as volunteering as a general counsellor for the You Trust, I have worked for Paragon Counselling, an agency specialising in domestic abuse, coercive control, and stalking and STAR Counselling which specialises in the field of sexual trauma and recovery. More recently, I worked for the NHS as a psycho-oncology counsellor supporting patients with a cancer diagnosis.
I regularly undertake continuing professional development, to ensure my therapeutic practice is current.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Code of Ethics. I am fully insured and registered with the ICO.If you would like our sessions to be in person, I work from a practice (Kingsclere Counselling) near Basingstoke. The space is safe, confidential, and comfortable, and free parking is available.
I also offer online sessions via Zoom.
My first session
The quality of the relationship between a client and counsellor is crucial for therapy to be effective and successful.
Our relationship will be an important part of your journey, so this is a chance for us to get to know each other and for me to make sure I’m well placed to support you and help you grow.
I offer a free half hour session where you can meet me without any obligation. I can talk you through how we could work together and you can ask questions. It offers you the opportunity to decide if I am the 'right fit' for you.
Following this, we can schedule a 75-minute initial assessment session charged at £75.
Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes and are charged at £60 for individuals or £85 for couples/relationship.
