About me and my therapy practice

Two minutes from Brixton station.  I have been working therapeutically since 2003, and gained qualified status in 2006. My therapeutic style is warm, engaging, empathic and relational. I have many years experience working with a wide range of emotional, psychological and relational difficulties, and have supported people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Both short-term counselling and long-term psychotherapy is available - sessions take place weekly.

When working together, you will have the space to explore your current difficulties and to begin articulating confusing, sometimes conflicting, thoughts and feelings. We will explore unhelpful and destructive behaviours, identify inner strengths and resources, and build new coping strategies.

If you are struggling to form and/or maintain healthy relationships, we can further develop your communication skills, and work towards increasing your levels of intimacy, and enriching your connections with significant others.

My work incorporates mind, body and spirit, exploring both your internal world, and the external, wider family and socio-cultural context. I will be particularly interested in supporting you to deepen your understanding of how your childhood, early attachments and family dynamics have impacted on your sense of self, and the relational patterns you may use.

Alongside my private practice, I am currently employed as a therapist within a London Rape Crisis Centre. I have specialist experience working with substance misuse, trauma/PTSD/complex PTSD, and supporting those who have experienced coercive control and/or sexual violence.

Fees range from £70-£100 per session (dependent on time of appointment, income and affordability).

I am an approved therapist for Aviva, AXA PPP Healthcare, WPA and BUPA.
