About me and my therapy practice

I offer short- and long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, with the aim of creating a safe, open, and collaborative space in which to talk and think about feelings and experiences that might be troubling you, or that you might be struggling to make sense of. My consulting room is in Central London, a few minutes' walk from Oxford Circus.

An important idea in psychodynamic psychotherapy is that none of us has a complete picture of why it is we think, feel, and act the way we do. Much of the time this isn’t an issue, but sometimes we can find ourselves feeling distressed or acting in ways we find troubling without really being sure why.

Through encouraging you to share whatever is on your mind and listening non-judgementally, we can work together to try and get a sense of how things outside your awareness might be affecting you. Talking to someone who listens carefully to what you have to say and takes your experience seriously can help you to fill in the gaps in the past and the present, get a clearer sense of why you’re feeling the way you are, and feel more integrated and ready to move forward.

I have experience working in private practice, at a community therapy service in Hackney, and I also work as a psychodynamic psychotherapist in the NHS, at the Maudsley Hospital in South London.

I am a Registered Member (MBACP) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have an MSc in Psychological Therapies Practice and Research (Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy) from the University of Exeter.

In addition, I am currently undertaking advanced doctoral training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the University of Exeter and the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), leading to accreditation with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). In line with this, I offer a small number of places for low-cost intensive (3x a week) psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Please enquire if you are interested in having intensive therapy.
