About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist and I have a philosophical and spiritual experience of life with a calm, genuine aproach towards our sessions. My own life experiences help me have a greater understanding and acceptance of the issues faced by others and I will listen to you and help you understand and accept who you are.
You decide what you want to talk about in the sessions, this happens at your own pace with no pressure or expectations from me of what you could talk about.
Together we can explore your experiences and feelings which are unique to you, and find the answers that you feel will help in your life. Helping you to become the person you feel you should be, and can be.
Counselling can help you gain more confidence, have a better understanding of yourself, explore issues that having been affecting you your whole life, and help you to have a better relationship with others and yourself.
Practice description
At present I am offering online video counselling via Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, which in my experience is equally as effective as face to face, and also means I am able to be available to a wider reach of people across the country.
I work with people aged 18+ years of age and have a previous working background in mental health services with the NHS. Having worked with adolescents, adults and older adults with a multitude of mental health issues, in community settings and also in adolescent psychiatric units.
I have a lot of of experience working with trauma and I am able to help you in examining and coming to terms with these experiences.
These are some of the issues that I work with, but I am capable to experience what ever you want to bring to our sessions.
Trauma/s, fear and anxiety, death and bereavement, relationship issues, anger and how to experience and accept it, depression and prolonged sadness, abuse, spirituality and what it means to you, existence and it’s meaning to you, substance misuse, race/identity and sexuality, age and it’s meaning to you.
Each counselling session is once a week (same day and time online via Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp) for 50 minutes.
The price of each counselling session is £60 per session. If finances are an issue, let me know as I maybe able to offer an ongoing reduced session fee as I have space available for 2 clients with low incomes.
I can also offer extra sessions (at the same cost per session) if you feel you need them. If you want to pay for a block of sessions this is acceptable as well.
If you wish to know more about me and the Person-Centred approach feel free to contact me.

The assessment/consultation session is where I go through an assessment form with you (which is confidential) and the counselling contract and you can meet me. This usually takes around 15-20 minutes to complete and then after this we can continue with what you wish to share.
