About me and my therapy practice
I provide, a safe and confidential space where it is possible for the client to gain personal insight and awareness.
This can support conditions for creating growth and change.
My core modality is Person Centred Therapy, in applying these principles l look toward creating the foundations for developing a therapeutic relationship which is underpinned by offering an environment which is non-judgemental, empathic, genuine and accepting of the client.
I work flexibly, adopting an holistic approach incorporating therapeutic tools including CBT, Mindfulness, and EFT.
I support clients in helping them to bring the full spectrum of thoughts, feelings emotions and experiences into a space where they are valued, acknowledged and met with patience and respect.
We then, as client and therapist consider ways in which experiences and challenges may be managed, whilst employing strategies, which may be brought to client’s awareness during the therapeutic process.
This can greatly assist spin moving forward in life, in ways which may be authentic and caring of self.
My first session
The initial session consists of an assessment where I will take a detailed account of your overall health and well being.
This will help me to gain a greater understanding of the client.
I will discuss the way in which I work, including code of ethics, contact details, prices, cancellations and any other information.
Clients will undoubtedly wish to ask questions, and this is the opportunity to do so, and may take place throughout the process. During this session I will gain further information about the client. Gaining a sense of each other may determine if we are able to work effectively together. This preliminary stage does allow for some exploration of therapeutic needs, and any concerns.
If both parties are in agreement then further sessions will be arranged and contract terms agreed.
