About me and my therapy practice
I am currently not accepting any new clients as I am fully booked.
Going to see a therapist for the first time can feel daunting and out of your comfort zone. Our first session is to meet and to discuss what you might like from our sessions, some clients are unsure what they want from counselling but know they want to feel happier or more confident. I am a qualified EMDR, CBT Therapist and person centred therapist with 12 years of experience, therapy is individual and we will work together to look at the issues you are facing. This may be something you're going through right now or issues you have experienced in the past. CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is a solution focused therapy used primarily within the NHS as it is an effective treatment for Depression and Anxiety Disorders.
I have completed EMDR Level 2 training which is an effective therapy for trauma, psychological stress and PTSD. I have recently completed the Flash Technique created by Dr Philip Mansfield. Flash technique is a strategy to limit the overwhelming disturbing trauma memories so the client doesn't become overwhelmed of shutdown.
