About me and my therapy practice

Welcome. Finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I encourage you to take your time in deciding whether I feel like a good fit for you.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss or relationship difficulties. Others feel stuck, overwhelmed, or aware that something in their life needs to change but are unsure where to begin.

My approach is relational, reflective and grounded. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to effective therapy. Feeling heard, understood and accepted can create the conditions for meaningful change, growth and self-understanding.

As a pluralistic psychotherapist, I do not believe there is a single approach that works for everyone. Instead, I work collaboratively with each client, adapting therapy to their individual needs and preferences. Some people need space to explore their thoughts and feelings, while others value challenge, perspective and support in understanding recurring patterns.

I work with adults (18+) and have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, shame, anger, loss, addiction, life transitions and questions of identity and purpose. I also enjoy working creatively with metaphors and imagery when this feels helpful.

My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to provide a safe, thoughtful and supportive space in which we can explore what matters to you and what may help you move forward.

I aim to bring empathy, honesty and respect to our work together, while recognising that you remain the expert on your own life and experiences.

Practice description

I offer counselling and psychotherapy in person from comfortable practice rooms in Hove (BN3) and Saltdean, as well as online throughout the UK.

My Hove practice is within easy walking distance of Hove railway station, while my Saltdean room provides a quieter setting on the outskirts of Brighton & Hove.

Many clients choose online therapy for its flexibility and convenience, while others prefer to meet face-to-face. We can discuss which option feels most suitable for you.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone or video consultation, giving us an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

My first session

If you are considering therapy, the first step is to get in touch by email with your contact details and a brief outline of what has brought you to counselling.

From there, we can arrange either a free 15-minute telephone or video consultation, or book an initial session if you already feel ready to begin.

Our first meeting is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss what you hope to gain from the process, and consider whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

There is no obligation to continue after the first session. Finding the right therapist is important, and I encourage clients to take the time they need to make that decision.

Availability

I currently offer supervision online and in person from practice rooms in Hove and Saltdean.

Supervision is available on weekdays, with a mixture of daytime and limited evening appointments.

I work with both qualified practitioners and trainees and aim to offer flexible arrangements where possible.

If you are looking for supervision and are unsure whether I have availability that suits you, please get in touch for an informal conversation.

About me and my therapy practice

Choosing a supervisor is an important decision. Alongside providing a safe and supportive space, I believe supervision should encourage reflection, professional growth and ethical practice.

My approach is relational, collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I aim to create a supervisory relationship where supervisees feel supported, challenged when appropriate, and able to think openly about their client work, professional development and the impact the work has on them personally.

I am a pluralistic psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, working with both qualified practitioners and trainees. My therapeutic background is rooted in person-centred and humanistic traditions, whilst also drawing on relational, experiential and existential perspectives.

I see supervision as much more than case management. It is a reflective space where we can explore client work, ethical dilemmas, professional identity, self-awareness, boundaries and the wider context in which therapeutic work takes place.

I work with supervisees from a variety of modalities and welcome both those seeking support and those looking for constructive challenge in their practice.

Supervision is available online and in person in Brighton & Hove.

Practice description

I offer clinical supervision to both qualified practitioners and trainees, providing a reflective space to think about client work, professional development and the impact that therapeutic work has on us personally.

My approach is relational, collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I aim to create a supervisory relationship where supervisees feel supported, challenged when appropriate, and able to reflect openly on their practice.

My therapeutic background is pluralistic, drawing primarily from person-centred, relational, experiential and existential traditions. I welcome supervisees from a range of modalities and am interested in helping practitioners develop confidence in their own way of working rather than encouraging a one-size-fits-all approach.

Alongside discussing client work, supervision may include exploration of ethical dilemmas, professional identity, self-awareness, boundaries, self-care, safeguarding and parallel process.

Supervision is available online and in person from practice rooms in Hove and Saltdean.

My first session

Finding the right supervisor is important. Before committing to ongoing supervision, I offer a free 15-minute telephone or video conversation so that we can discuss your needs and see whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

Our first supervision session is an opportunity to explore your practice, caseload, training background (if applicable), current supervision arrangements and what you hope to gain from supervision.

We will also discuss practical matters such as frequency, fees, contracting, record keeping and any requirements from your training provider or professional body.

There is no obligation to continue after the first session. I encourage supervisees to take the time they need to find a supervisor who feels right for them.
