About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor and EMCC Accredited Coach with over 20 years working with adults and young people with a wide range of issues, including addictions and compulsions, abuse, anxiety, anger management, assertiveness, bereavement, loss, building confidence, coping with worries and fears, family dynamics and general personal improvement & development.

I use an Integrative approach, which simply means my initial training incorporated a range of theoretical models. The emphasis of my work is on the healing power of the counselling relationship itself.

I am also a qualified coach, so can support you with identifying and clarifying intentions and goals and focus on your future; taking steps towards the changes you want to see, however, small those changes might feel in the early stages of our work.

I have also experienced around 10+ years of my own therapy, have regular and ongoing Clinical Supervision for my work and continue to invest in my own personal and professional development.

As well as an accredited member of BACP, all my work is fully insured and I am registered with the ICO.

Practice description

Sometimes, we are unsure about our goals, what we want or why we are seeking help; we just know we want to feel better or for life to improve.

I can help you see and understand any unhelpful, repeating  patterns in your life as you begin to make changes in how you think, feel and behave.

All of my work currently takes place online.

Some people are surprised to learn that research indicates that online therapy is as effective as face-to-face therapy.

This session is important as it helps to inform our ongoing work, should we decide to continue working together after the initial session.
