About me and my therapy practice
I practice counselling and psychotherapy in discreet and comfortable consulting rooms conveniently located in Enfield Town. Whatever your struggle is, I can help to unravel difficult thoughts and feelings to promote change.
My approach is non-judgemental, safe and confidential; a space to talk through what's on your mind and gain understanding and perspective. I will be sensitive to your needs and go at a pace that suits you. Together we can explore how your past may have shaped the present and perhaps led to unhelpful overthinking, low mood, anxiety or depression.
You may be seeking help following a painful bereavement or loss, or perhaps you are in a relationship with a partner or family member that is proving challenging. I can help you to process and make sense of your feelings, leading to freedom from sadness, anxiety, anger or frustration.
Sometimes challenging thoughts and feelings or trauma may have led to using unhealthy amounts of alcohol or drugs; I am experienced and successful in helping clients live clean and sober lives.
I work psychodynamically; this approach has a proven track record of being effective for any number of issues; there is a huge evidence base to support it as an intervention. We will review the work regularly to make sure that you are happy with the progress.
In my practice, I offer both time-limited and open-ended therapy, either face-to-face or online. In an initial appointment, there will be an opportunity to explore whether either option is right for you.
Practice description
I practice from The Therapy Rooms, centrally located in Enfield Town - please take a look at my website for more details. I also work online using Zoom or the telephone. This can be a convenient way of accessing therapy for those on a busy schedule or who prefer the comfort of their own home. Sessions last for 50 minutes
My first session
The best way to contact me initially is by email or text. I will then contact you to discuss availability and answer any questions you may have. If you decide to go ahead, our first meeting will be an assessment - this allows us a chance to get to know each other a bit better and for you to decide whether the therapy I offer is right for you. Sessions last for 50 minutes and are £65 per session. I am an accredited member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and a registered member of the BACP.
