About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with five years experience of working with clients. My training is 'Integrative’ ' which means that I work with distress, trauma - and all of life's difficulties - in a way which seeks to create or recreate a sense of wholeness out of the things which have become broken or lost. It also means that I want to work with you in partnership, seeking to understand what’s troubling you, and where things might have got stuck. We will talk about the past, as all therapists do, but I also want to help you think about what is going on for you now. The things which have brought you to therapy.
I work mostly in my private practice on Wednesday's and on Monday and Thursday evenings. Most of my work is currently being undertaken on Zoom due to the current pandemic. Do get in touch if you want to find out more. I will aim to get back to you within 24 hours. Unfortunately I cannot currently offer therapy if you are a student or staff member at The University of Cumbria.
My first session
When you contact me I will let you know my availability and suggest a brief phone call, followed by an initial session if you wish to take things forward. This session is charged at my normal rate which is £55.00. During this session we will have more time to chat about what you need and how I work as as a therapist. To see if we are a good fit.
