About me and my therapy practice

How I work

I trained in London as an existential–humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist. In practical terms, this means I help people make sense of the challenges they’re facing, reflect on the choices available to them, and explore new perspectives on their difficulties.

For therapy to be effective, it’s vital that clients feel understood, respected, and free from judgement or labels. It’s equally important that they have a clear sense of what we’re working towards and why. My aim is to create a space where people feel safe enough to explore their experiences honestly and openly.

Practice description

About me

I have worked as a full time therapist for more than 25 years across a wide range of settings, including GP surgeries, mental health services, addiction and dependency support centres, and workplace counselling providers. I have been an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy since 2005, and I also supervise other counsellors.

Alongside my private practice, I provide counselling for NHS patients and work with local counselling organisations. I see both individuals and couples.

My first session

Helping people make an informed choice

Finding the right therapist can feel daunting. Most of us want someone who genuinely understands our concerns, is clear about how they work, and can offer support that can make a difference. To help with this, I offer a free initial consultation to anyone considering therapy with me. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, get a sense of how I work, and decide whether I’m the right person for them. Feeling informed and comfortable is essential before committing to therapy.

What I can help with

Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Loss, Narcissism, Relationships, Trauma

Types of therapy

Existential, Humanistic, Person centred

Clients I work with

Adults, Couples, EAP, Older adults, Trainees

How I deliver therapy

Long-term face-to-face work, Online therapy, Short term sessions, Short-term face-to-face work, Telephone therapy, Time-limited
