About me and my therapy practice

Supervision for counsellors, student counsellors and psychotherapists; supporting ethical and reflective practice and professional development.

As a person centred counsellor, my approach to supervision is relational and collaborative, and is rooted in the belief that effective supervision begins with a strong, trusting relationship where you can think clearly, work ethically and build confidence in your own therapeutic approach.

When you feel safe enough to think openly — without judgement or pressure to “get it right” — your capacity as a practitioner naturally strengthens.

I aim to create a space where you can:

  • Think openly, without pressure to perform
  • Explore uncertainty without feeling judged
  • Speak honestly about what is really happening in the work

Practice description

My approach is collaborative; I work alongside you, offering reflection, perspective and gentle challenge where needed which allows us to look at your work from multiple perspectives, including the client, the relationship, your internal process, and the wider professional context.

I will help you move beyond “what happened” into deeper understanding, clarity and meaningful development.

Many counsellors come into supervision feeling they need to appear competent, contained, and “on top of things.”

I offer something different.

This is a space where you can bring:

  • The sessions that didn’t feel clear
  • The clients that stay with you long after they’ve gone
  • The moments where you felt unsure, stuck or impacted

Because often, this is where the real work is.

My role is to help you:

  • Make sense of complexity
  • Stay ethically and professionally grounded
  • Develop trust in your own judgement and therapeutic voice

I work with:

Trainee counsellors/psychotherapists who want to build confidence without fear of getting it wrong

Newly qualified counsellors/psychotherapists navigating the transition into independent practice

Experienced counsellors/psychotherapists who value depth, honesty and ongoing development

What You Can Expect

  • A calm, consistent and confidential space
  • Thoughtful, honest and constructive reflection
  • Use of the Seven-Eyed Model to deepen understanding
  • Support with ethical decision-making (BACP / COSCA aligned)
  • Space to explore both your clients and your experience of the work

Supervision is not just about maintaining standards — it is about sustaining you as a practitioner.

About me and my therapy practice

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck or not feeling like yourself? Or are you struggling with anxiety, anger or emotional exhaustion? I can help you make sense of what's happening and find a way forward at a pace that feels right for you.

You might be used to coping, getting on with things, or being the one others rely on, but inside it can feel very different. I am an experienced person-centred counsellor and clinical supervisor; having supported people who have felt overwhelmed, stuck, or have carried more than they show on the outside.

Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, low, angry, or emotionally drained. You might be dealing with grief, relationship difficulties, or patterns that feel hard to break. Or maybe there’s just a sense that something isn’t right, even if you can’t fully explain it.

If that resonates, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

I offer a warm, confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, feel truly heard and begin to make sense of what’s going on for you.

Practice description

My approach is person-centred, which means I won’t analyse you, diagnose you, or tell you what you should do. Instead, I’ll work alongside you, listening carefully and moving at a pace that feels right for you while helping you build insight into both your current challenges and the deeper patterns that may be shaping your experience.

I believe that when you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and understood, something begins to change. Many of my clients find that this kind of space, often for the first time, allows them to feel clearer, less overwhelmed, and more connected to themselves.

I have over 14 years of experience supporting people through a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed
  • Low mood and depression
  • Anger
  • Trauma and difficult past experiences
  • Grief and bereavement
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Addiction and substance misuse
  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
  • Autism, ADD and ADHD

You don’t need to have everything clearly defined, just a sense that you’d like support.

While everyone’s experience of counselling is unique, my clients have informed me that they valued having a space where the can:

  • Speak openly without fear of judgement
  • Be accepted as they are
  • Explore difficult thoughts and feelings safely
  • Feel understood at a deeper level

Reaching out can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of something important.

If something in this profile resonates with you, you are very welcome to get in touch. We can take it from there, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
