Availability

I am currently available to take on new supervisees. I have limited availability in the evenings, Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer clinical supervision to both qualified counsellors and counsellors in training, providing a supportive, collaborative, and professionally enriching space for your development.

As a Person-Centred Therapist with over 12 years of experience, I have worked across a range of counselling services in Bolton, including roles as a coordinator, mentor, and supervisor for student counsellors at various stages of their training and placement journey. As Clinical Lead at 1Point Bolton, I also have extensive knowledge of the expectations and requirements of working within NHS/IAPT-informed therapeutic services.

I believe supervision should be more than a professional requirement - it should be a space where you feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. My aim is to help you develop confidence in your own therapeutic approach while honouring your unique style and individuality as a practitioner. I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where you can openly reflect on both the rewards and challenges of your clinical work.

Practice description

My supervision approach is collaborative and reflective, drawing on the Hawkes and Shohet Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. This framework enables us to explore all aspects of the therapeutic process, including:

The client and their presenting issues

The interventions and therapeutic work undertaken

The client–therapist relationship

Your own thoughts, feelings, and responses as the therapist

The supervisory relationship

The supervisor's reflections and observations

The wider organisational and professional context

Finding the right supervisor is an important part of your growth, confidence, and effectiveness as a therapist. To help you decide whether we're a good fit, I offer a free 20-minute online consultation. This gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, discuss your supervision needs, and explore how we might work together.

Whether you're a student counsellor looking for guidance during your training or an experienced practitioner seeking a supportive supervisory relationship, I welcome the opportunity to work alongside you.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an accredited counsellor based in Bolton, with over 12 years’ experience working in private practice as well as within the voluntary and community sector. During this time, I have supported individuals with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, family difficulties, ADHD, low self-esteem, depression, relationship challenges, grief (including bereavement following suicide), infertility-related loss, burnout, and stress - among many others.

I am passionate about helping people navigate their difficulties, discover new perspectives, and reconnect with their strengths and sense of self. I offer both short-term and long-term support, depending on your individual needs and what feels right for you.

I provide a safe, calm, and comfortable space where you can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgement. This is your time - an opportunity to focus on yourself, to release what has been weighing on you, and to find greater clarity, understanding, and peace.

Initial Consultations

Choosing the right therapist is incredibly important, as it’s essential that you feel comfortable and that we are a good fit. To support this, I offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone or online consultation. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and for you to decide whether you would like to work with me.

If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, I am always happy to talk this through and answer any questions you may have.

I offer flexibility in how often we meet. Some clients prefer weekly sessions, others fortnightly, and some choose to check in monthly. We can work together to find a schedule that suits both your availability and financial circumstances.

I attend regular supervision and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their ethical framework.
