About me and my therapy practice

As a warm, experienced  clinical supervisor, I work integratively. This means I integrate different therapies and theories in our work.

With an intersectional lens I pay careful attention to how your identity, self-defined or socially described, connects to your inner voice and impacts how you experience pain. Identities are many and varied including race, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, culture and ability.

Our work will be informed by integrative theories focusing on transference, countertransference and unconscious processes. You’ll get a reflective, challenging and supportive space to develop.

Practice description

I have extensive experience of bereavement and loss, especially with parents and carers. I lead an NHS service in central London  and have competencies in understanding complex organisational dynamics and understand the language/discourses around diagnosis, psychopathology and mental disorders.

About me and my therapy practice

Whether you're feeling stuck, going through something painful, or want to understand yourself better — I'm here, and I'd love to work with you. I offer weekly individual and couples counselling for adults. If you're from a marginalised background, or found it hard be truly seen,  you're especially welcome.

I work integratively. This means I integrate different therapies and theories in our work. I use psychodynamic theory which looks at your past, your relationships and how they shape you. And I’m person-centred which means I believe you can be the best version of yourself, given the right support.

Practice description

I want to establish a relationship with you that's honest and supportive. The aim is to  facilitate the exploration of your inner world. I will walk beside you on your healing journey using empathy, compassion and curiosity.

With an intersectional lens I pay careful attention to how your identity, self-defined or socially described, connects to your inner voice and impacts how you experience pain. Identities are many and varied including race, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, culture and ability.

I can be flexible to your needs in terms of time spent exploring an issue and goals. This means we could work long term (over 12 sessions), short term (up to 6 sessions) or have just one session, called 'single session therapy'.

My first session

The first session will be an assessment of your needs, your current situation and your mental health and mood. I will ask questions, complete a questionnaire, take notes and ask you to think about how talking therapy will help.  Using a culturally curious lens I explore:

- Developmental history: what thing were like when you were growing up

- Relational patterns: who you were close to and how you experienced these relationships

- Coping strategies: how you find ways to get through the day or difficult situations

- Rrevious experiences of support or treatment.
