About me and my therapy practice
If you are looking for a supervisor to support you in your client work and in your self-development, whilst also challenging you to ensure that you are always getting the most out of your supervision sessions, then we may be a good match.
My approach is open, down to earth and honest, and I fully believe in the impact that a really effective supervision session can have on your clients and on you.
My background: I qualified as a counsellor in 2015 and completed my training hours at a hospice, where I stayed after qualification to gain more experience, working with patients and their families. I then moved on to working in several primary schools while my own children we little, while building up my private practice, often working with EAPs. I currently split my time between private clients and working in a secondary school.
Specialties: bereavement, anxiety, relationships, working with teenagers.
As a supervisor, I appreciate the importance of supporting you to develop and thrive in your work. I have really benefitted from my own supervision over the years and am enjoying having the opportunity to offer you my experience and skills so that you can get all that you need from supervision.

About me and my therapy practice
I am well aware that at times life can be difficult; you may feel anxious, over-whelmed, worried or just not right. Or you may feel that your past experiences are having an impact on how you deal with things in your life today. Talking with me could help you in a different way than talking to a friend of family member and this is primarily because you can be honest with me without me judging you. I'm here to listen to you and to support you in working things out for yourself. My approach is open, honest and down-to-earth and I am a firm believer in the counselling process and the good that it can do.
Practice description
I am a qualified counsellor and am also an accredited member of the BACP. I have many years experience of counselling clients on a one-to-one basis, specialising in bereavement, anxiety, depression, trauma and domestic abuse.
You have taken the first step towards helping yourself by starting the search for a counsellor. This takes courage and strength, and I can help you build on this - we can look at what is happening in your life, whether you're happy with it or not, what you'd like to change and how to do it.
My first session
Quite often the first counselling session can feel quite daunting, which is a very normal feeling. We can start off gradually by discussing your expectations, what it is that you'd like to achieve (and it doesn't matter if you don't know exactly, again that's very normal), and how we might work together.
This is our chance to also discuss practical issues such as how often we might meet, and when.
