I work Monday - Thursday up to 3pm. We would try to find a regular time once a month to meet for 1.5hrs (or 1hr if you are supplementing other supervision).

About me and my therapy practice

Good supervision is a place where you can take space both for the needs of your clients and your own well-being as a practitioner.

I currently supervise a range of therapists from different backgrounds working in a variety of contexts including EAP, private organisations and charities. I have a special interest in supporting therapists looking to set up or develop their own private practice and those looking to become accredited. I offer a blended supervision approach which can include all of these elements alongside clinical work.

As a therapist with over 20 years' clinical experience, my own therapy model is integrative, combining core models of person-centred, CBT and psychodynamic theory and I have a working knowledge of most other models. I am training to qualify as a health coach later this year, to further my work with midlife and menopausal women. I have worked in my own private practice since qualifying in 2005 and am passionate about helping us to learn and develop as practitioners to help meet changing client needs.

If you are interested in finding out if we could work well together, please don't hesitate to make contact, I would welcome an initial conversation.

I am currently taking on new clients. I work Monday to Thursday.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with women entering perimenopause, through menopause and beyond. This transitional phase for women affects not just our body physiology, but our moods, emotions, thought processes, sense of identity, relationships and much more.

My aim is to offer you a space free from judgement, prescriptive solutions, comparison or pressure to do better. I will listen to your story with curiosity and openness. You will always be the focus of our sessions, but I will ask questions, offer insights, reflect and reframe so you feel heard and understood. I am down to earth, friendly and warm and believe therapy needs to feel like a ‘normal’ relationship as much as possible.

I use skills from several types of therapy including person-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy and transaction analysis. I also integrate techniques from coaching, motivational interviewing and solution-focused theory to help with clarity and focus. I am a qualified personal trainer and am completing my qualification as a menopausal health coach, registered with UKIHCA.

I have studied positive psychology, trauma, addiction, parts work, habit formation, behaviour change, spiritual growth, philosophy, Buddhism, developmental change and others because I am curious about our experience of being human and how we see ourselves in the world. This is a quality I will bring to our work together.

My knowledge and skills cover a wide range of issues affecting midlife women including depression, anxiety, rage, low self-esteem, relationship and family issues, work related issues, stress and work-life balance.

If you're not sure if menopause is behind the way you are feeling, do please get in touch and we can try to work it out together.

Practice description

My approach is compassionate, collaborative and tailored to you. I draw on counselling and coaching approaches to support both emotional healing and practical change.

Some clients come wanting space to explore their feelings in depth; others want help moving forward and finding a way through. We can work in the way that feels most helpful for you.

We start with an assessment session and then plan a way forward together. For some clients this means meeting every week to have a place to talk and gain clarity. For others they may want more of a proactive approach, spacing sessions further out so they can work on taking action and trying out changes to their routines and lifestyle habits.

My first session

We begin with an assessment session to discuss what's been going on and how it is affecting you.

From there we agree on some goals for our work together, what you would like to be different by the end of our sessions. We decide what approach would work for you - how to balance our focus between a therapy space and a more proactive coaching approach to support your whole person wellbeing.
