My varied experience as clinical supervisor/counsellor and manager within counselling services places me in a good stead to offer supervision to counsellors and professionals working within organisations and facing their demands.

I am qualified both as an individual and a group supervisor. I have extensive experience of working with both trainees and accredited counsellors who might feel competent in their practice but value a consultative relationship which can support and challenge them.

As well as counsellors/therapists I have supervised individuals working in other helping professions.

I worked with professionals operating within health settings, staff supporting older people living semi-independently, frontline workers supporting service users with complex mental health needs in the community and and staff working with survivors of domestic violence.

For over 13 years I combined a clinical role with a managerial position in a counselling service of a large national charity. In this latter role I was involved in conflict resolution/coaching and mediation processes.

I have been practicing as a counsellor for over25 years and as a clinical supervisor for 15 years. I have worked for different charities and mental heath organisations. I currently focus on my practice, mainly as a clinical supervisor.

About me and my therapy practice

My approach is Humanistic Integrative.

As a clinical supervisor I favour the theoretical model initiated by Hawkins & Shohet. Inskipp and Proctor have been influential in my formation.

I particularly enjoy group-work and the challenges offered by its dynamics. These can often be found within work teams and organisational challenges.

Although I only work online and on the phone, in-house organisational sessions can be negotiated in the London area.

When first approached I offer an initial free 20 minutes consultation where questions can be asked and processes explained. We can then decide if we want to work together.
