Practice description

Supervision is a place to understand not only your clients but also yourself. To learn & develop effective ways of working. To work on the difficult but also to celebrate the positive. My aim in supervision is to create a space that supports your development both professionally & personally. Also for you to do the best by your clients.

My approach to supervision is based on the Seven-Eyed model of supervision developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet. The 7 Eyed Model of Supervision is one of the most well-known and widely used supervision models.

This model is a map, a framework, with which to view the landscape of supervision and that enables supervisee (s) to navigate their supervision practice with increasing confidence. At its heart, this model is about inviting a diversity of views and perspectives. It combines both the psychodynamic as well as systems understanding of how things connect. It creates space for the exploration of the relationships at play.

My first session

I tend to advise to have an initial consultation to get to know each other. As finding the ‘right’ supervisor is possibly one of the most important aspects for a successful outcome in supervision.

Usually the first part of the consultation is talking about the supervisees experience, wishes and areas of development and in the second part of the session we will talk about how to work together, expectations, needs and possible challenges.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Family Practitioner, Transgenerational Psychologist, and Clinical Supervisor with over 20 years of experience working within the NHS and private healthcare organisations. I have extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and children, and I currently run a private practice near Tonbridge.

As a multilingual and culturally aware therapist, I warmly welcome clients from all backgrounds. I have both a personal and professional interest in issues relating to cultural identity, belonging, migration, and experiences of feeling “uprooted.” I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist with specialist experience in transgenerational and inherited emotional trauma.

Through individual therapy, family therapy, couples counselling, and parental consultations, I support individuals, couples, parents, children, and families in strengthening relationships, improving communication, and enhancing emotional wellbeing at home, school, and within their wider environments.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor offering supervision to both trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists, working with individuals as well as groups. I provide a safe, supportive, and thoughtfully contained space where supervisees can explore their clinical work in depth and reflect on challenging or significant issues. My approach encourages professional growth through insight, reflection, gentle challenge, and encouragement.

Practice description

My approach is integrative, drawing primarily from psychodynamic, systemic, and transgenerational perspectives. I believe that our present experiences, relationships, and emotional difficulties are often shaped by unconscious patterns, family dynamics, early attachment experiences, and the wider cultural and intergenerational narratives we carry.

In our work together, I aim to provide a safe, thoughtful, and compassionate space where we can explore not only current challenges, but also the deeper emotional roots that may be influencing them. I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, families, parents, and children to better understand patterns of communication, relationships, emotional responses, and recurring difficulties.

My psychodynamic approach helps uncover underlying emotional processes and unconscious patterns, while a systemic perspective allows us to consider the wider relational context in which difficulties arise. Through a transgenerational lens, I pay particular attention to inherited emotional experiences, trauma, cultural identity, migration, belonging, and the impact of family histories across generations.

I am a trauma-informed therapist and work sensitively with clients from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. As a multilingual practitioner, I value the importance of culture, identity, and lived experience in shaping a person’s sense of self and relationships.

Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, family challenges, identity issues, or emotional overwhelm, I offer a supportive and containing environment where insight, healing, and meaningful change can develop at your own pace.

My first session

Taking the first step into therapy can feel significant, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. The relationship between therapist and client is central to successful therapeutic work, so I offer an initial consultation as an opportunity for us to meet, explore your concerns, and consider whether we feel we can work well together.

During the first session, we will talk about the difficulties, experiences, or challenges that have brought you to therapy at this time. We will also begin to explore your hopes, goals, and what you would like to achieve through the therapeutic process. This initial meeting is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about how I work and what to expect from therapy.

I work with individuals, couples, families, parents, and children, and I tailor the therapeutic process according to each client’s unique needs. Some clients prefer open-ended therapy, while others choose to work within an agreed number of sessions followed by regular reviews. We will review the work together periodically to ensure that your needs are being met and to reflect on progress, goals, and any adjustments that may be helpful.

All sessions are confidential and conducted within a safe and respectful therapeutic space. As part of ethical practice and in line with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy guidelines, I attend regular clinical supervision. Confidentiality may only be broken if there are serious concerns about risk of harm to yourself or others, and wherever possible this would be discussed with you first.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like further information or to arrange an initial consultation.
