About me and my therapy practice

“Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.” Brené Brown

Life can have many challenges which require us to show up, but what if these challenges get the better of us? Challenges such as relationship break downs, bereavement, job loss, anxiety and depression. Sometimes it may be difficult to even know why we are not feeling OK. A lot of the times, we just ignore the feelings and hope they go away but what if there was an alternative? What if 'showing up' meant understanding our difficulties and focusing on building our resilience?

We have 60-70,000 thoughts a day and 90% of them are recurring. If these thoughts are a result of low mood, anxiety and poor self-worth, imagine what stories and lies you are telling yourself on a daily basis.

My aim is to provide you with the space to increase your emotional intelligence and build on your strength and resilience. Counselling and Psychotherapy is a really useful way of achieving just that.

I specialise in working with a range of issues, some of which include: Depression Anxiety / generalised anxiety disorder / Trauma Relationship issues Affairs and betrayals Family issues Stress Abuse Eating disorders Self Esteem Addictions Sexual issues Anger Bereavement / loss Identity issues.
