About me and my therapy practice
"Welcome trainees and qualified counsellors to a compassionate empathic 1-2-1 online & telephone supervisory relationship"
Thank you for looking at my profile. I have been qualified as a counsellor since 2015. It has been an uplifting journey, of learning different aspects of talking therapies, ongoing training, which has given me continuous valuable knowledge, understanding, skills & experiences.
Through this growth, & professional working experience, I achieved my biggest challenge, gaining my MBACP accreditation in 2018. I used various approaches, person centered & the core conditions, which are extremely important to help build the relationship & help clients & therapist, like yourself to build a therapeutic working alliance relationship. This helps explore individuals unique thoughts & feelings, which brings them to their unique "happy place". Psychodynamic, I support clients self-awareness & understanding of the influence of the past on present behaviour. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) I draw upon cognitive skills ideas to support clients gain insight to foster actioning for change. Solution focus, I use to focus on building solutions, rather than on solving the problems that clients bring to therapy. They are all different in the use of skills & techniques, depending on where you are in your journey, which is again & always will be unique to you & clients. This also helps build the therapeutic working supervision alliance relationship, as you would with your clients, whilst as a trainee, or even qualified. I also embrace the diversity of counselling styles & ways of working with clients as well as trainees & qualified counsellors.
Practice description
I am here to support you, in all areas of your training and qualified counsellors. To have that space to breathe, when you focus on giving your best to your client work. You may feel dishearten, deskilled, lost, stuck or even overwhelmed! I know I was when I started my career journey profession. I get it. Trust me, you'll be treated with congruent emphathic understanding, in a safe space, where it is non judgmental, with unconditional positive regard. The same as you would give to your clients. It's all part of the journey of learning, training & growth as a trainee therapist or qualified.
As a Certified face-to-face, telephone & online clinical supervisor, which I gained with Counselling Tutor, I use Hawkins & Shohet 7 eye model, and Stoltenberg IDM model.
Both models facilitate & benefit my practicing, that they are not specific to any one practical counselling modality, but as long as I as a placement supervisor, have the working knowledge & continuous skills of your particular training way, I ensure you, I will always and continue to work ethically and reflectively in a confidential and in an empathic way. This will support your development in your training, ongoing career development, knowledge & skills in providing therapy to your clients.
If you would like to discover, if we are a good fit for each other, reach out to me, to experience for yourself.

About me and my therapy practice
Life is an adventure you can not be lost. Only exploring a new path, is the strength you will feel tomorrow for going forward at your pace that you can manage.
Some people struggle to be honest with themselves, with how they are really doing. There may be times of emotional distress, that not every one has the support of friends, colleagues or family, to help them through the difficulties they are experiencing & facing.
Reaching out can be overwhelming, daunting draining & can lead to a downward spiral, of being in a dark place, if you do not have the support, which pushes you to your comfort zone. This can sometimes be more harmful than helpful to your journey of change, if you cannot trust, feel uncomfortable to open up, or have no one that really listens to your cries, as you may feel to you, that you are seen, but not heard. undervalued or not acknowledged. Let alone checked in, if you are okay.
Well guess what? YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
I am an experienced MBACP accredited integrative counsellor & psychotherapist, practicing for over 8 years. It has given me transferable skills & knowledge, to work with clients on many different challenging levels & work very much in collaboration tailored to you. It is important to recognise, we as humans struggle at times. Even the strongest amongst us all, feel fedup, unhappy, angry stuck, lost, confused & even ambivalent at times. This includes myself. We may feel the same emotions, think similar, bleed the same, but what is troubling you can be even more challenging for the individual experiencing this more than others. Remember, your situation makes you unique.
This is why "it is okay not to feel okay". There is always room for improvement. We do not stop learning about ourselves until we take our last breath.
I am also a Certified clinical supervisor face-to-face, on-line & telephone.
I am members of ACTO, BABCP and BAATN.
