About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified, professional, person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Hertfordshire. I am a warm and caring person with a genuine passion to help people find a way through their problems, achieve their potential and find some peace and contentment within. I will listen and support you whilst you work through the issues that are troubling you. We will work together to lighten the load you are carrying.
Sadly life can present difficulties and problems which cause unhappiness and can leave a person wondering how they will cope or even if there is any point to it all. Relationship problems, work issues, financial worries, abuse, anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, discrimination, ill health and low self-esteem are sadly common place in our society. Loosing loved ones is something we all have to face at some point in our life which can be devastating. The good news is that talking about your experiences and feelings with a person-centred counsellor can really help.
Letting go of past, painful experiences can help to create space for new ideas, hopes and dreams to make themselves known. Person-centred counselling can also be helpful if you want to explore your options, perhaps supporting you with a change of direction or making a decision. Person-centred counselling can help you to get to know yourself better enabling you to be the person you really want to be.
Being able to trust that whatever you talk about will be held in confidence is an important and essential element of the counselling relationship. Confidentiality will be explained during your first session.
