About me and my therapy practice

As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure that each session is tailored to your individual needs. Over time, our work together may involve exploring relationship patterns, current or past emotional challenges, boundaries, and belief systems that may be influencing your wellbeing, work, and relationships.

I support clients experiencing a wide variety of challenges, including relationship issues, workplace stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, addiction, and bereavement. My experience includes providing therapy within the NHS as well as for private clients. I also accept referrals through major health insurers such as BUPA, BUPA Global, AXA, Vitality, and Aviva, along with EAP programmes including LifeWorks and Inspire Wellbeing.

I am deeply committed to helping clients create meaningful change. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where you can explore the issues that may feel challenging or overwhelming. My approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and genuine care.

Take the first step towards support.

Practice description

My practice is grounded in the belief that every individual’s experience is unique. I combine a range of therapeutic models, allowing our work together to be flexible, responsive, and tailored to your personal needs. Clients can expect a warm, calm, and supportive environment where you are free to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

In our sessions, we may look at current challenges, patterns that arise in your relationships, past experiences that still have an impact today, and the beliefs or boundaries that shape how you navigate the world. My aim is to help you gain clarity, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself so that you can make meaningful, lasting changes in your life.

Clients often describe my approach as gentle yet grounded, empathic, and non-judgemental. I strive to create a therapeutic space where you feel truly heard, respected, and supported as you work through whatever may be causing distress or uncertainty. Reaching out for help can feel daunting, but it can also be the first step towards greater emotional health and personal wellbeing.

My first session

My first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. I offer this session as a gentle introduction to the therapeutic process, allowing you to share your concerns, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work. Many clients find that this initial meeting helps them feel more grounded and supported before deciding to continue.

During the first session, I will invite you to talk through the issues you are experiencing and what you hope to gain from therapy. We may explore aspects of your personal history, current challenges, and any patterns or relationships that feel important. This helps me build a fuller understanding of your needs so that I can tailor my approach to you from the very beginning.

I typically carry out an initial assessment in this session, which includes discussing your wellbeing, relevant background, and any goals you may have. This assessment is conversational rather than clinical, and you are encouraged to share only what feels comfortable. The focus is on creating a safe, warm, and non-judgemental space where you feel heard and supported.

The fee for the first session is the same as for ongoing therapy, and there is no pressure to commit to further sessions. The choice to continue is entirely yours, and many clients appreciate the chance to reflect afterwards before deciding their next steps.

By the end of the first session, you should have a clearer sense of how therapy with me might feel, what you can expect from our work together, and whether I am the right therapist for you. My aim is to ensure you feel welcomed, understood, and empowered as you begin your therapeutic journey.
