About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is essential for any psychodynamic or integrative work. The supervisor creates a thoughtful, questioning and discursive space that facilitates another perspective on the complexities of the therapist-client relationship. Addressing this complexity is part of the challenge of psychotherapy.
Ongoing supervision is an essential part of good clinical practice and the central source of continued professional development. Increasingly, professional organisations require evidence of supervision for continued registration.
I have been supervising clinicians and trainees for over 15 years.

About me and my therapy practice
Welcome! Making the decision to see a psychotherapist can be a daunting task. I am a UKCP-registered and BACP Accredited psychotherapist, and a UK College of Mindfulness teacher.
My approach is integrative, meaning I use a variety of approaches (psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, EMDR) to suit each client. Together we can help you gain a better understanding of the roots of the issues that are troubling you, and work out new ways of approaching situations that you find difficult, as well as suggesting methods to help you cope. I use a mindfulness-based approach as well as 'talking therapy'.
I work with many issues, particularly trauma, anxiety, depression, 'burnout' , couple relationships, and the search for meaning. I have almost 20 years’ experience working in the NHS and London Fire Brigade supporting staff.
Practice description
I had a background in children's safeguarding before training as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I have almost 20-years’ experience as a psychotherapist providing both short and long-term client-orientated therapy to individual clients and couples, including Blue Light staff using a range of modalities. I have worked within organisational settings, including the London Fire Brigade's (LFB's) Staff Counselling and Trauma Service, the NHS, prison service and educational settings as well as in private practice.
As a member of staff support services within the NHS and LFB, I have provided therapy, reflective practice and post-critical incident support/advice and mental health awareness sessions to staff and managers.
I work always within appropriate ethical frameworks. My registrations include the United Kingdon Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK College for Mindfulness. I also have accredited registration with the Professional Standards Authority.
