I have limited availability for face to face supervision based in Chorlton, South Manchester. I also offer online sessions including daytimes and evenings.About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced psychotherapist and superviser with many years of supporting a range of individuals and groups. I currently offer reflective practice supervision to frontline staff working in the helping professions, as well as clinical supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists.
My specialism is in working with trauma and I have worked for many years in domestic abuse and sexual violence support agencies. I understand the complex issues that occur in these settings and the importance of trauma-informed practice for practitioners and their clients. Wherever possible I seek to mitigate the impact of vicarious trauma on the practitioners I support.
Practice description
My core modality is in person-centred practice and I aim to provide a safe and confidential space for practitioners to discuss and reflect on their work. I am collaborative and open in my approach, supporting supervisees to develop both professionally and personally. I aim to facilitate an environment where supervisees can get the most from supervision, with a balance of support and challenge.
My first session
I offer an initial session which is free of charge, with no obligation to continue. If we both decide we would like to work together then I ask the supervisee to pay for the initial session, at the usual rate. If we dont decide to work together there is nothing to pay.

I am an integrative counsellor with experience of working in the NHS, the voluntary sector and in private practice. I have particular experience of working with trauma and sexual violence though I am happy to work with other issues. I welcome working with clients from diverse backgrounds and different cultures. I am committed to promoting accessibility and offer an initial session which is free if we don't go on to work together, and also offer some low cost places for people on low incomes. My first session
The initial session is free and there is no obligation to continue working with me. I don't ask clients to decide on the spot but to go away and have a think about it before deciding if they want to go ahead and start therapy.
