Availability
Available for supervision sessions both online and in person outdoors at a private woodland near Wellington.
As well as regular supervisees I'm always open to have one off supervision sessions, whether that's because your regular supervisor is unavailable, or if you'd like an opportunity to explore elements of outdoor practice and ecotherapy.
About me and my therapy practice
Supervision with me is about exploring your client work, providing a space for ethical decision making as well as supporting your practice, looking at your development and meeting your professional needs.
The foundation of my supervision practice is simple – I’m going to offer you space to honour you, your clients and your work. The work we do as practitioners is hard, and supervision is a place to explore that. Beyond that of course is a lot more, I will offer a space which is..
• Collaborative
• Reflective
• Expressive
• Restorative
• Inquisitive
I’m an experienced person centred therapist but welcome working with others from different therapeutic perspectives and modalities, as well as those outside the counselling profession.
The experience that I bring with me is varied – including private practice, third sector and charity work. I’ve also many years of experience of being self employed, both in private work and in my previous career.
In particular I’ve worked with clients outside for a number of years, offering outdoor therapy / ecotherapy / walk and talk and am passionate about this area of practice. Drop me a message if you'd like to know about the training and CPD workshops I run on outdoor counselling and nature connection within a counselling relationship.
I've also a growing interest in supporting counsellors working with eco-anxiety, climate grief as they support clients - and themselves - through the ecological crisis we face.
Practice description
I’m based in Shropshire and have access to a private woodland space for supervision. Alternatively we can work online, using various platforms. I don’t currently work face to face indoors.
As well as traditional monthly or fortnightly supervision sessions I’m happy to work on a more infrequent basis or even ad-hoc or one-off sessions. For example if you’re looking to examine elements around outdoor therapy or need a session whilst your regular supervisor is away just get in touch.
My first session
For regular supervision to start with we'll have a free brief phone call or online meeting so you can outline your needs and wants from a supervisor and to make sure that we're compatible!
From there if you decide to go ahead we will look at working face to face outdoors or online and get some sessions booked, whether that's fortnightly or monthly.

Availability
To find out my current availability do get in touch - we can have a quick chat to introduce ourselves, see how we might work together and hopefully get you booked in.
As an outdoor counsellor and ecotherapist most of my client sessions are face to face and outdoors, from various parks, fields, woods and lanes in and around Wellington, Telford and Shrewsbury. I also use spaces around Ironbridge, Newport and Much Wenlock on occasion.
I do also have a few limited slots to see clients online, using zoom, whatsapp or google meet.
I have availability most weekdays during the day (usually mornings) and some evening sessions - how many depends on the season! As an outdoor therapist during the winter my evening sessions are fewer, typically from October to March
About me and my therapy practice
Anxious, overwhelmed or stressed?
Let’s talk: I’m an experienced counsellor and outdoor therapist who works with people like you. People who doubt themselves all the time, who find themselves on edge but don’t know why, people who worry about things that haven’t happened or who just don’t think they’re good enough.
If you’re stressed and anxious, overwhelmed and just not enjoying life as much as you want, then I’m here to listen. Maybe you're frozen with procrastination or shame and unable to see a way forward.
I specialize in helping people work through their overwhelming emotions—whether it’s anxiety, panic attacks, stress, lack of confidence or imposter syndrome.
These feelings are more common than you might think, and together we can explore them, break them down, understand them better, and help get you to a place where you feel calmer and more confident. You are not alone.
It doesn’t matter if you have a formal diagnosis or feel stuck in a loop of social anxiety or self-doubt. We’ll work through it. My goal is to help you make sense of what’s going on, to build your self-confidence, and - hopefully - to help you be kinder to yourself along the way.
Beyond anxiety, I also work with clients navigating depression, grief, isolation, relationship issues, work stress, family illness, chronic pain, and bereavement. Whatever’s weighing on you, I’m here to listen, to support, and to help you move forward.
I totally get that reaching out to a counsellor can feel like a big scary step, particularly if you’re already feeling anxious but I'm here to support you right from the start of this journey. Do get in touch, let's have a chat and see how I can help you.
Practice description
Instead of sitting in a room, we’ll work together in parks, woodlands, or other outdoor spaces where you feel safe. You might find that it’s easier to open up when you're outside, with the natural world around us providing a more relaxed, less pressured environment. We don't always walk, sometimes we'll sit and I'll always work within your abilities, with plenty of accessible options for people who find being outdoors more challenging.
I focus on creating a space where you can feel comfortable, supported, and understood. I believe that connecting with nature is an important opportunity to help us heal, which is why I’m so passionate about ecotherapy, also known as outdoor or nature-based therapy. But at its heart our work together will be rooted in traditional counselling theories, supported by my many years of experience helping people like you.
I love collaborating with people from all walks of life, including fellow practitioners and counselling students. I often work with students who need therapy as part of their training, helping them develop both personally and professionally as they embark on their own journey to becoming therapists. I'm also a supervisor too - see my separate directory entry to find out what you can expect from me there.
As well as weekly or fortnightly counselling sessions, I also offer one off outdoor focus sessions that give you space to think, reflect and explore. These longer, more immersive sessions can be really helpful if you feel like you need time to offload and explore your thoughts in a focused and supported way but aren't able to commit to regular sessions. Whether you’re looking for clarity or just need to feel heard, these sessions can be a great way to start exploring what’s going on inside.
Feel free to reach out via email or give me a call. I know reaching out can feel like a big step, but I’m here to make it as easy and comfortable as possible. Let's explore how we can work together so you can live your life more fully.
My first session
Before we dive into your first session, we’ll have a brief, free chat to introduce ourselves and make sure you feel comfortable with me. This is usually over the phone but if phone calls bring up anxiety (which they do for a lot of people!), we can look at other options.
Our first session will be online and will last around 50 minutes. At the start, I’ll walk you through a few important details about how we’ll work together, including things like confidentiality and boundaries. I know paperwork and formalities aren’t the reason you’re seeking therapy, so I’ll keep this part brief, but it’s important you understand how everything works from the start.
After that, the session is all about you. Don't worry if you don't know where to begin, my experience has shown that between us we'll find a way for you to start to share what's going on for you. We’ll explore what’s on your mind and take our time to discuss what you hope to gain from therapy.
This is your space, so there’s no pressure to have everything figured out right away. Whether you have a clear goal in mind or you're just feeling stuck, we’ll work together to map out what the next steps might look like.
Towards the end of the session, we’ll talk about how therapy might look moving forward. We’ll agree on future sessions if that feels right to you, and talk about a few important things to know about working outdoors.
I also offer single session Outdoor Focus Sessions for those who want to address something specific in one go. If you’re thinking about this option, we’ll have a quick, free 15-minute online chat before booking your session to make sure it’s the right fit.
Ultimately, this process is about making sure you feel supported, heard, and comfortable. Whether it’s online or outdoors, I’m here to help you take the next steps on your journey.
