About me and my therapy practice
With 10 years’ experience, I am an Integrative Psychotherapist/ Counsellor, Lecturer, Trainer, Clinical Supervisor, and Development Manager at a local charity. I specialise in working with teens, trauma, OCD, gender, and autism.
I specialise in working with student and newly qualified counsellors, as well as teenagers. My practice is grounded in a person-centred foundation, enriched by an integrative approach that primarily incorporates psychodynamic and CBT techniques. I have a keen interest and extensive experience in addressing neurodivergence, gender diversity, anger management, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep difficulties, and I utilise the Rewind technique for trauma work. My aim is to offer a supportive, tailored space where individuals can explore their experiences and find pathways to personal growth and resilience.
Practice description
I offer a tailored approach to each individual’s needs, helping them navigate their mental health challenges and personal growth. My work is particularly attuned to the complexities of transitioning into the counselling profession, adolescence, and living with neurodivergence or gender diversity. Each session is designed to build on your strengths and develop effective coping strategies in a collaborative and insightful manner.
My first session
The initial session is pivotal, setting the tone for a therapeutic journey. It is an opportunity for you to share your current concerns and for us to establish your goals for therapy. I provide a discounted rate for student counsellors, newly qualified counsellors in their first two years of practice, and young people under 25. This session includes an assessment to tailor our subsequent sessions to your specific needs. My objective is to ensure that you leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and confident about the process ahead.
