About me and my therapy practice
With a Postgraduate Diploma and MEd in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling from University of Cambridge, alongside a Diploma in Supervision from Terapia, I offer professional clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, trainee therapists, school counsellors, and mental health professionals working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and parents/carers.
Based in Cambridge and working online across the UK, I provide specialist supervision for practitioners supporting clients with anxiety, autism, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, family breakdown, school avoidance, low self-esteem, bereavement, and complex safeguarding concerns.
My supervision style is warm, reflective, relational, and professionally robust. I enjoy working collaboratively with supervisees in a creative and dynamic way, helping them explore fresh perspectives on their clients’ inner worlds, deepen their understanding of therapeutic relationships, strengthen clinical confidence, and think carefully about risk, ethics, and best practice.
I aim to create a supportive supervisory space where practitioners feel both challenged and encouraged, enabling them to grow in confidence, resilience, and effectiveness in their work with children, teenagers, adults, young adults, and families.
Practice description
Supervisees can expect a warm, professional, and thoughtfully challenging supervisory relationship grounded in experience, creativity, and clinical integrity. I bring a wealth of experience from diverse areas of counselling with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, This breadth of experience enriches my supervision practice, enabling me to support counsellors, psychotherapists, trainee therapists, and mental health professionals with grounded, real-world insight. I understand the realities of school-based work, private practice, organisational pressures, safeguarding complexity, and the emotional demands of therapeutic roles.
My supervision style is relational, reflective, and dynamic. I integrate creative tools, somatic awareness, metaphor, and psychological thinking to help unlock fresh perspectives on client work. Together, we may explore what is happening beneath the surface, what the client may be communicating indirectly, and what they truly need from the therapeutic relationship in order to move towards emotional balance and growth.
I see supervision as an inspiring and restorative process, one that nurtures curiosity, deepens clinical understanding, strengthens ethical practice, and energises the work we do with clients. Supervisee's can expect to feel supported, appropriately challenged, and encouraged to develop confidence in their own therapeutic voice.
I also offer a small number of carefully supported clinical placements for counsellors in training who are specialising in work with children, adolescents, and young people. Placements are designed to provide meaningful client experience within a warm, professional setting, with regular supervision, guidance, and a strong focus on ethical and safe practice. Please feel free to enquire about current opportunities.
My fee's are:
£70 for qualified therapists and £55 for those in training.
My first session
Our first supervision session is an opportunity to build a strong and effective foundation for our work together. Whether you are an experienced counsellor, psychotherapist, trainee therapist, school counsellor, or mental health professional, the initial session is designed to help us establish a safe, supportive, and professionally meaningful supervisory relationship.
During this first meeting, we will explore your professional background, current role, client group, previous supervision experience, and what you are hoping to gain from clinical supervision. We will also discuss your goals, areas of confidence, current challenges, and any aspects of your practice where you would like greater support, reflection, or development.
I am interested in understanding how you work best, so we will consider your preferred supervision style, learning approach, and what helps you feel both supported and appropriately challenged. Whether you work with children, adolescents, adults, young people, families, or within schools and organisations, I tailor supervision to your setting and professional needs.
We will also cover practical matters such as confidentiality, safeguarding responsibilities, ethical frameworks, record keeping, frequency of sessions, online or face-to-face arrangements, and any specific requirements relevant to your role. If helpful, I can offer a short reflective exercise before we meet to help you clarify your expectations and identify priorities for supervision.
I do not offer a reduced introductory rate, as I ensure the first session provides ample time, depth, and space for us to begin meaningful work together. If you are transitioning from a previous supervisor, I can also support a smooth and thoughtful handover process.
Above all, the first supervision session is about creating a warm, open, and collaborative space where you feel confident, understood, and clear about how supervision can support your professional growth, wellbeing, and clinical effectiveness
