About me and my therapy practice

I am an advanced clinical supervisor, and I enjoy supporting therapists through the real, everyday challenges of practice. Supervision is about creating a space where you can breathe a little, think things through, and feel genuinely understood by someone who recognises the depth and emotional weight of the work you do.

I work from the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision because it offers a simple but powerful way of looking at your practice from different perspectives. Together, we can explore what’s happening for the client, what’s happening for you, the relationship between you and the client, the dynamics emerging in supervision, and the wider systems that shape the work. I keep explanations light and useful, so the model supports us without becoming overwhelming.

Alongside ongoing clinical support, I also help counsellors who are preparing to open their own private practice. Whether you’re setting up online, in person, or by phone.

I can guide you through what you need to do to practice both effectively and safely. From ethical frameworks and boundaries to policies, risk procedures, technology choices, documentation, and general practice setup, I offer practical, steady guidance to help you feel confident as you step into private practice.

I can supervise people from different governing bodies, i.e., BACP, UKCP etc.

Practice description

My supervision brings together the three core elements of Supervision.

Normative – I help you stay grounded in what safe, ethical practice looks like in real life. That includes talking through boundaries, dilemmas, organisational pressures, and anything else that needs clarity so you can feel steady and confident in your work.

Formative – I’m naturally drawn to teaching and shared learning. A big part of this is understanding how you learn best as a counsellor, whether you absorb information more easily through discussion, hands-on practice, visual mapping, reflective writing, or a more experiential, kinaesthetic approach. Once we get a feel for your learning style, we shape our work so that supervision becomes a genuinely helpful, personalised space where your clinical confidence can grow at a pace that suits you.

Restorative—Because therapeutic work can touch us deeply, I offer space to explore how you are doing. You can bring your uncertainty or any challenges that you experienced within your work with clients. Supervision should feel like a place where you can safely explore your practice without judgment.

I supervise practitioners who work online or by phone, as well as those in face-to-face settings. I understand the subtle pressures, emotional demands, and ethical considerations that come with remote work, and I hold all of that with care and sensitivity.

If you’re looking for supervision that feels human, steadying, and genuinely encouraging something that supports your well-being, your clinical skill, and your development as a practitioner I’d be delighted to work alongside you. You don’t have to carry the work alone; supervision can be a space where you feel safe, supported, and strengthened.

About me and my therapy practice

Making the decision to look for counselling can be daunting. You may be uncertain whether counselling can help; I can provide a safe, supportive space where you can talk and explore any issues that are impacting your life. I have many years of experience in helping clients with anxiety and depression, and by using talking therapy, we can find the answers to help you find a way forward.

I am integratively trained in person-centered and psychodynamic therapy, and I have recently completed a postgraduate diploma in dialectical behavior therapy.

Practice description

I have worked in an addiction clinic for a number of years, which has given me specialist knowledge in working with anxiety, depression, substance misuse, trauma, sexual abuse, complex PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. I qualified in 2016 at Gloucestershire College, gaining a diploma in therapeutic counselling.

I also completed a postgraduate diploma in dialectical behavioral therapy in 2022.

My first session

First we would need to have an assessment together; a first session will help you get a sense of what you are looking for in your counsellor. We would go through some questions together to assess your needs. Assessments are charged at the standard counselling hourly rate.
