I work in a Humanistic way, using the Person Centred approach along with solution focused therapy. I use CBT techniques.

Practice description

I am an experienced counsellor, running my own private practice and working for an counselling support service within the Education sector.

I am a supervisor in training and have completed many hours of supervision theory. I am therefore offering supervision at a reduced rate.

About me and my therapy practice

I work with with men & women aged 18 years plus and with couples. This means I can provide a supportive space for you or for both of you either face to face, by telephone or by video.

I work relationally, integrating different counselling theories into my work and practice and use these approaches as I feel appropriate. This means the work we do together is tailored and personalised to you, focusing on your needs.

Practice description

Are you having difficulty managing or coming to terms with a current situation? Are you in a difficult relationship (many types)? Or maybe you hoping to find healthier coping strategies? 

There can be many reasons that bring you to a BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) registered & accredited counsellor.

I understand that asking for help isn't always easy and working your way through difficult feelings or situations can at times, be overwhelming.

Whether this is your first experience of counselling or you are building on previous work, our sessions together can help provide you with a space to be supported, help you regain control and management of your life. I support & listen to you and we work together to help you find the strategies to make the changes you wish to see in yourself and in your relationships with others.

Being able to speak in a confidential space free from judgement, can provide with a freedom you may not have in other relationships. I provide time and space for you, when you need to be heard.

You may wish to see me following a bereavement, have anxiety or depression, marital/relationship/family issues. You may feel angry, have low self esteem, have issues at work, be managing a illness/diagnosis, be peri/post menopausal, have been or are suffering domestic abuse. There can be many other reasons for making contact and no issues is too small, if it is affecting you.

We can arrange a free 10-15 minute telephone consultation, where you can ask any questions you may have. Please contact me to arrange this.

My fee is competitive and can be discussed at point of contact.

My therapy spaces are located in Oulton (LS26) & in Chapel Allerton (LS7).

About me and my therapy practice

I am a Registered & Accredited Counsellor, working one to one with men & woman and with couples as a relationship counsellor. 

I also work with student counsellors in training.

I offer face to face, telephone and video appointments. 

My face to face sessions are at my therapy room in Leeds 26, close to bus routes and a short walk from Woodlesford Train station.

My telephone & video sessions are offered throughout Leeds, West Yorkshire & UK wide and in Europe to English speaking clients.

My counselling experience is varied, having worked for a charitable organisation, in secondary school with young people, in school wellbeing supporting staff in schools/colleges and within private practice supporting adults (18 yrs plus) & with couples supporting marriages and relationships.

You may wish to see me following a bereavement, have anxiety or depression, marital/relationship/family issues. You may feel angry, have low self esteem, have issues at work, be managing a illness/diagnosis, be peri/post menopausal.
