About me and my therapy practice
I have completed integrative supervision training at the Minster Centre, where my approach is deeply influenced by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. This model supports a multifaceted approach to supervision, working on different levels to help you grow in your practice. I am a UKCP accredited supervisor.
I offer individual and group supervision, and work with students in training, practitioners at the beginning of their practice and experienced practitioners. Supervision sessions can take place weekly, fortnightly and monthly. Individual sessions are 50 minutes long, group sessions (2-4 people) are 90 to 120 Minutes.
I offer low cost fee for counsellors/therapists in clinical placements or at the beggining of their practice. Please inquire.
Practice description
In my practice I work in an integrative relational way with an intersectional outlook. This means that whilst keeping the client and their wider context in mind I also attend to our supervisory relationship and how dynamics between us may give us further insights on the work with clients. Over the course of my work as a therapist I have come to greatly appreciate the supervisor-therapist relationship. My aim as a supervisor is to offer a non judgemental trustworthy space where therapists can bring all aspects of their work in their practice. If you are a counsellor/ psychotherapist working in private practice or a trainee on a clinical placement I can support you with managing risks and crisis, safeguarding, attention to transference and countertransference, attention to the ethical principles and dilemmas, bounderies. We will be exploring the wider contexts that interconnect the clinical and supervisory relationship. My supervision practice supports and encourages me to work across different modalities and therapeutic approaches. Therefore I welcome supervisees from different modalities to my own.
I welcome active explorations around issues of intersectionality, such as gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, class, age, religion, physical D/disability and neuro-divergence.
Since 2021 I have been part of a committee that discusses and explores all aspect of visible/non visible disabilities. I am a tutor at the Minster centre teaching first year counselling ‘Physical disability and ableism in Psychotherapy’ and I teach the Disability weekend Advanced Clinical Practice (MA) at Minster Centre, London.
