About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision to trainee and experienced psychotherapists. I am an emotion-focused psychotherapist specialising in working with clients who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault. I am also experienced at working with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients, and with clients who have experienced narcissistic abuse and domestic violence.

My work as a supervisor is based on the belief that self-awareness is key to being an effective therapist, and I am here for you to be able to speak openly and honestly about your feelings as they relate to your work.

I will work with you on any areas where you might be struggling with feelings that are on the surface, as well as with underlying emotions that may be activated by your clients’ presenting issues.

My aim is to foster both confidence and authenticity in your therapeutic role.

About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in working with adults and young people living with the effects of the trauma of childhood sexual abuse, rape, sexual assault, narcissistic and domestic abuse, and clients who are neurodivergent.

You may be living with symptoms of CPTSD including overwhelming anxiety, depression, flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks, self-harm, addictions and suicidal thoughts. Sometimes you might feel as though you don't know who you are or that you have no worth.

I can also work with you if you've experienced other types of traumas or if you're feeling paralysed or overwhelmed by your emotions or having difficulty coping with everyday life and you don't know the reason why and you don't know how to make a change.

The psychotherapy I offer is Emotion-Focused. Working with the emotions arising from trauma can help you to start making sense of the effect that it is having on your life. As well as talking about how you've been affected emotionally I can work with you on strategies that can help to minimise the anxiety of dealing with life whilst feeling overwhelmed.

If you've reached the point where you've had enough and you can't cope with how you're feeling, whatever the reason, contact me and we can work together for you to start to make a change.
