About me and my therapy practice

At Windmill Counselling, I offer warm, supportive, and reflective clinical supervision for qualified counsellors and trainees,

As an integrative counsellor working since 2015, I have had the privilege of supporting clients from many different backgrounds and walks of life. This experience has strengthened my belief that every individual deserves to be met with empathy, respect, and understanding values that are at the heart of my supervisory practice.

Alongside my counselling experience, I hold a Level 6 Qualification in Counselling Supervision, providing a strong foundation for supporting practitioners in their clinical and professional development. My supervisory approach is informed by both the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and Holloway's Systems Approach, allowing us to explore client work in a thoughtful, holistic, and meaningful way.

I view supervision as a collaborative partnership, one that offers space for reflection, challenge, learning, and growth. Whether you are navigating complex client work, building confidence in your practice, or seeking a supportive space to think and reflect, I aim to provide an environment where you feel heard, valued, and professionally supported.

I welcome trainee counsellors, newly qualified practitioners, and experienced therapists from a range of theoretical orientations. My integrative approach enables me to work flexibly and collaboratively, tailoring supervision to your individual needs and professional goals.

At Windmill Counselling, my aim is to create a supervisory relationship that feels both supportive and professionally enriching, a space where you can bring your questions, challenges, successes, and reflections with confidence.

My first session

What to Expect from Our First Supervision Session

Choosing a supervisor is an important decision, and our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether we are a good fit for working together.

During this initial meeting, we'll spend time discussing your current practice, professional background, and experience as a counsellor. I will ask about your qualifications, training, professional membership, and any requirements you may have regarding supervision. This helps ensure that I can provide supervision that is appropriate, ethical, and tailored to your needs.

We will also explore your current level of competency, areas of strength, and any aspects of your work where you may be seeking additional support, challenge, or development. Whether you are a trainee counsellor, newly qualified practitioner, or an experienced therapist, supervision should reflect where you are in your professional journey.

About me and my therapy practice

A little about me.

I feel it is always a privilege when people find they can open up and trust me with some of their deepest fears and anxieties and speak about traumas which may have been buried for years. The power of this is never lost on me.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and attend monthly supervision sessions to ensure I am giving the very best level of service to my clients.

What I offer.

I offer a one to one counselling sessions in a warm and cozy room in my garden at my home in St Annes on Sea.

It is a shame that we rarely have time in our busy lives to just stop and talk about ourselves and what may be troubling us in a non-judgmental, accepting environment. This is exactly what I hope to offer.

It is in this non - judgmental, confidential, warm and accepting environment that it is possible to explore and process feelings which may be painful, repressed or not fully understood. It is a way to help you find your own answers. It may be that you aren't aware of any 'problem', it may be that something just feels different or not right.

We will work through these feelings together to help better understand and cope with them. We will work at your pace, I would never ask or encourage you to bring painful feelings or experiences in to the session if you felt you weren't ready.

It is important to find the right therapist, as the relationship is key to a successful outcome. I therefore offer a free 20-30 minute session so you can decide if I am the right therapist for you. We will also discuss a little more about what you may be wanting out of the sessions and how I may be able to help.
