About me and my therapy practice
I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists working across a range of settings, including private practice, agencies, and integrative or holistic contexts.
My supervisory work is psychodynamically informed, with a strong focus on the here and now of the therapeutic relationship. I support supervisees to reflect on unconscious processes, relational dynamics, transference and countertransference, and the emotional impact of the work on the therapist.
I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) into supervision and am Level 1 trained. This allows space to explore both client parts and therapist parts, including protectors, vulnerabilities, and patterns that may become activated within the therapeutic and supervisory relationships.
I also draw on my extensive background in CBT and mindfulness (used as a secular clinical approach), particularly where structure, formulation, or stabilisation is helpful.
Alongside talking-based supervision, I welcome and support discussion of energy work, including Reiki, somatic awareness, and subtle relational or embodied processes that arise in therapy. Energy-based perspectives are held reflectively and ethically within a clinical framework, with attention to boundaries, consent, and professional standards. This may be particularly supportive for therapists working integratively or with body-based, spiritual, or non-verbal approaches.
My supervisory style is collaborative, reflective, and containing, offering both support and appropriate challenge. I aim to provide a space where clinical thinking can deepen, ethical awareness is strengthened, and the therapist’s own process is carefully attended to.
Supervision is available on a regular or ad hoc basis.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamically trained counsellor with a focus on the here and now, working with current patterns of distress and relational difficulties rather than solely on early experiences. I offer both short-term and open-ended work, depending on your needs.
I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am Level 1 trained. IFS is a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand and work with different parts of themselves, supporting emotional regulation and internal balance.
I provide a safe, reflective space where difficulties can be explored and held within the therapeutic relationship, allowing for increased insight and meaningful change.
Alongside talking therapy, I also offer Reiki as an optional, complementary approach. This is used with client consent and clinical appropriateness, particularly to support nervous system regulation and embodied awareness.
Practice description
I established my private practice in 2013, following 16 years’ experience working as a therapist within the NHS.
I offer face-to-face sessions from my practice room in Chorlton, as well as walk-and-talk therapy in the South Manchester area.
My work is psychodynamically informed, providing the primary framework through which I explore current difficulties, including experiences that may be hard to name. I also have extensive experience in CBT and mindfulness (used as a secular therapeutic approach), and I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my practice. I am Level 1 trained in IFS, a trauma-informed, evidence-based model that supports compassionate understanding of different parts of the self.
Alongside talking therapy, I offer Reiki as an optional, complementary approach for clients who wish to include a broader, body-based perspective. This is always guided by client consent and clinical appropriateness.
Sessions are available on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis. Concessions are available for clients in receipt of benefits.
My first session
I offer a free introductory call, lasting up to 20 minutes, held via Zoom. This provides an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, to understand how I work, and to consider whether we feel a good fit before committing to ongoing sessions.
If you wish to proceed, you may then book an initial face-to-face consultation. Some clients choose to have up to four initial consultations before deciding whether to begin therapy. These sessions can also be used as a stand-alone intervention, offering space to reflect on and formulate your difficulties, which may be particularly helpful if gaining understanding is your primary aim.
