About me and my therapy practice
Online and face to face supervision available.
I believe in the value of supervision which, when we might feel stuck, offers space to sit and connect with another, who will gently support and challenge us to grow, bringing new meaning and clarity to our work. I will facilitate this by drawing upon my own experience, and by the use of collaborative contracting and evaluation methods. However, it is our relationship that will always supersede technique and, by exploring what emerges in the moment together, we can experience truly transformative conversations.
Supervision can often feel challenging and we can keenly feel the vulnerability of the process. I bring compassion and humility to the supervisory relationship where we will aim to find the courage together to turn towards those times where we may struggle, with the wisdom and willingness to work to find clarity together.
I am accredited with the BACP and I hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision from The University of Derby. I have experience within organisations offering individual and group supervision. Additionally, I am a tutor of counselling, teaching the Level 6 Diploma in supervision.
Practice description
It is important to find a supervisor with whom you feel comfortable and who you feel will be able to support your professional goals. There is the opportunity for us to have a 30 minute ‘discovery’ call, via Zoom, where we can get to know one another a little more and talk through your goals for supervision. Please contact me if you would like to arrange a call.
Additionally, you may wish to visit my website to find out more about my practice.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor based in Shevington in Wigan who has been practicing for over ten years. I work with women who are perhaps struggling with confidence, a critical voice, anxiety, lost identity and the emotional and physical aspects of menopause. I use a blended approach where I will give you the space to talk and share your experience, alongside working together to equip you with the tools and strategies to help you manage day-to-day. Using Psychodynamic therapy, we will work to understand how the past may be influencing your present, and aim to put meaning behind the way we relate to ourselves and others. Once we have the understanding, we can start to have autonomy and choice over how we wish to live our lives.
That might mean taking care of old beliefs that stem from childhood and looking at them with your fresh adult eyes; relabelling automatic beliefs you may be holding onto and unlocking the past to put some meaning and understanding into how it is affecting your present and ultimately your future. That could be understanding where that people pleasing part of you originates, or perhaps exploring why you feel the need to be strong and everything to everyone, which is perhaps leaving you exhausted and lost.
Remember, this is your time and investment in yourself, so choosing the right therapist is vital. I offer a free 30 minute consultation, which will give you the opportunity to learn more about how I work and what to expect from counselling with me, and hopefully put you at ease a little as you embark on your counselling journey.
Practice description
Do any of the following apply to you?
- I feel anxious and overwhelmed by life.
- I feel constantly worn out from excessive worry; I can’t seem to turn my thoughts off!
- I am worrying from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed.
- …and by the time I go to bed, already exhausted from worry, I still can’t sleep!
- I am always telling myself that I am not good enough, and I feel that this is holding me back.
- I feel like I’ve lost a part of who I am.
If the above sounds familiar, then you are in the right place.
Often we just simply struggle on, we try to ignore how we feel thinking that there’s always someone else that’s in a worse place than us, right? Wrong. Your experience matters to you and what you’re feeling is real, overwhelming and exhausting. Counselling offers you the space and time to invest in yourself, to explore and unravel the way we think and feel and give you the tools to help you live a more fulfilling and content life.
